Mendocino is a wonderful getaway for beautiful exquisite views of the ocean and the Mendocino coast next to this lovely historic town, great dining and unique and fun shopping. I'm probably in the extreme minority of men who love to shop with their wives. In Mendocino, the shopping is plentiful, especially for women's clothing and apparel. This is our third trip to Mendocino and without a doubt, Indigo is far and above the rest of the women's clothing shops in town. The clothes all have a very hip vibe and are all up to date and trendy. Indigo has the cutest clothes we've seen in town by far. The other shops in town seem to cater to an older crowd with several stores displaying many out of date styles. If you want to find some of the sweetest, unique and cute clothes in town owned by a super personable and friendly owner who has a great taste in the clothes they sell, make Indigo your first stop in town for clothing when visiting Mendocino on your next trip. You won't be disappointed! The owner was also very knowledgeable about dining experiences in town and we took her advice and were not disappointed! Love the clothes we purchased and know you will too!

What a lovely store! High quality clothing, personal care items, handmade art cards by local artists and lovely children's toys and clothing. Justine is a warm, friendly generous soul who helps make the experience of being there special. I will make a point of going there when I'm around! Highly recommended!

This is a disgusting anti-masker! Stay away, especially if you have elderly or kids in your family! She started YELLING at my wife for wearing a mask, verbally assaulting her even from across the street. "Rude" doesn't even get close. My wife didn't want to raise a fuss, but I believe this ugly b******* should not go unchallenged - especially because it puts people in DANGER. She has a total right to ignore scientifically valid advice for *herself* - but not to inflict it on others.. Not to state the obvious, but someone who's in a customer service role probably shouldn't be *yelling* at their customers - no matter their opinions. I'll also report this to the health department. It's not much different from seeing a kitchen crawling with flies and maggots - and being assaulted for raising an objection. And no, Ms Crazy Lady, you don't asphyxiate from CO2 from a mask. You don't think the thousands of doctors on the front lines - many wearing multiple masks all day - wouldn't have noticed this??

I happened by chance to walk into this lovely store today and was hit by an intense heartfelt feeling as I entered. Justine, the store owner, was so warm and friendly and kindly told me about some of the hand-spun clothing. I purchased a scarf and two of the most beautiful capes. We chatted about the music that she had playing in the background and she generously wrote down the play list for me. The quality of the clothing and the gentle spirit of the owner makes this a lovely place to shop.

Although I ended up not purchasing it wasn't for lack of quality interesting items to choose from. I'll be back when I have the time to browse these lovely and often handmade clothes that you won't see anywhere else.

Indigo is a wonderful store. Justine has excellent taste and the shop is full of beautiful textiles, art, polished stones, essential oils, cards, clothing and more -all chosen with care and sustainability in mind. A very high integrity and creative shop. You'll get a warm welcome there always. Highly recommended!

I went along on the family femmes clothing safari during a week vacation in Mendocino and bought a wonderful Susan Bodine hat at Indigo within a stone-throw of the headlands. Justine's store is welcoming and full of interesting clothing, as well as other items ranging from lotions to teas. The femmes bought a wide range of items and I found this blue, green and grey hat knit from Susan's hand-carded, hand-spun yarn that is naturally died. Susan's knit work is glorious. The head-wear has drawn a dozen comments from folks since I got it two weeks ago on Dec. 26, during that boxing day shopping tour. I also bought two handcrafted herbal teas that helped me fight a chest cold that struck on the drive up. We visited the store twice during our five-day stay. Stop by and be ready to be enchanted.

Indigo is full of style and warmth. You'll never go in without getting a big smile and discovering something amazing. Quality and community are big priorities here and when it comes to community, everyone is included.

The polished stones in the windows "made me look and go inside" Justine was as excited about the scultures and polished stones from California rivers as she is about her lovely clothing. Almost walked out with a cashmere wrap. I might need to go back if this weather doesn't get warmer!
