The ambience in this place is superb. The service is very friendly. the food is tasty and interesting. I would not say it’s amazing though. Still, totally worth heading to this place and trying out different dishes. The food felt healthy and was interesting.

Went here for my anniversary. We didn't stay as a hotel guest but wish we could have. Had dinner and breakfast the next day. Everything was delicious, and the manager comped our desert for our special day. My partner is newly plant based and was super impressed with everything, especially the dressing the Cesar salad (best Cesar dressing she's had ever) She also does not like enchiladas but absolutely loved the ones I ordered. It's not always on the menu but if they have creme brulee do NOT skip out on it. Strawberry shortcake was scone consistency but the whip cream softened it up perfectly.

We’ve visited here for years. We dined here twice on our last visit in December. Once on Dec 22 and the next for dinner on Christmas. The staff were lovely and pleasant as always. They are true hospitality professionals. Veronica was our server on our first night and she was beyond stellar. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The bartender also served the drinks both nights and he was just as wonderful. Miriam was our server on Christmas and she was also stellar and had a great sense of humor. The dinners were delicious and the drinks were as well! The pre fixe dinner on Christmas was out of this world. A+ dining experience! The hostesses, servers and bartender were impeccable.

I love everything about Ravens! Stayed at the Stanford Inn and ate here daily whether it was breakfast or dinner. Happy hour was also wonderful. Excellent selection of wines, very fresh and flavorful meals and enjoyed a fresh pot of tea every morning. Beautifully decorated for the holidays - a very cozy and peaceful experience.

Classic otel dining with peaceful view of trees. Went for brunch and ordered the waffle and the portobello Benedict. Both very good and felt indulgent without being heavy or unhealthy. Good service.

I hate to write this, but the food at Ravens Restaurant was shockingly bad. For a vegan resort with high prices I expected something unique and delicious, but boy was I wrong. My partner and I came for dinner and got the Rustic Flatbread, Crab-less Cakes, and the Kalua Mushrooms and Coconut Rice. It was some of the most bland and dry food we have ever had with just a strange aftertaste. I promise vegan food is SO much better than this. Just try Fog Eater Cafe and you will see.

I had great expectations for Ravens when I went here on a recent trip to Mendocino. The food here was average albeit all vegan. We got a Thai curry that was decent yet felt Thai Idea in SF does a better curry. We got the enchiladas that were good yet wish their hot sauce was made in house.
The vegan carrot cake with vegan ice cream for dessert was probably the best thing we ordered and was tasty.
I have a feeling the chef that was here is no longer here yet must say the service was great.
I am giving it five stars because it was very cozy here with the wood burning fire place, resident cat, resident dog, and extensive vegan library.

Amongst the heavy meat and seafood dishes void of vegetables this restaurant shines! It was so nice to get a nourishing meal after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The food is low in oil, mostly gluten free and vegan so expect healthy but really well done! It was a calm soothing restaurant as well.

I had breakfast here on November 16th, 2023. I had heard so much about this establishment over the years and was happy to finally arrive in Mendocino to try it. I couldn't help but notice that there seems to be a trend in the reviews, a downhill trend. Maybe they changed chefs?
We ordered the Portobello Benedict and the Polenta with greens. The Benedict was delicious but could have used more mushrooms and a little less mustard in the hollandaise sauce. The polenta was okay but a bit boring.
The coffee was great and so was the hot cocoa. Service was extremely good.
We arrived for breakfast at 9:15 in the morning and we were the only people dining there until a party of three showed up about a half an hour later. Not a good sign.
Pricing seemed a bit unusual. Entrees were expensive but beverages seems to be a bargain.

We travel fulltime in rv, so finding 100% plant based is a treat. This was pretty special, up their with Plant in Ashville, NC. I saw many negative reviews in 2022, but I suspect with eas related to coming out of COVID. We arrived early not realizing dinner service started at 530. No problems, happy hour with some finger snacks tided us over. We totally enjoyed our dinner, got dessert to go.

I tried this restaurant because I stayed at the Stanford Inn hotel and I really enjoyed everything about it. First you need to understand that this is a fully plant-based restaurant and if you are looking for vegan processed food or food with a lot of fake flavors this won't be your place. However, if you are looking for healthy food, with good quality ingredients and you want to taste the original flavors with no additives of each dish then you are in the correct place! You must make reservations for breakfast and dinner (they are closed for lunch, however, they have a menu for a lunch to go) and I suggest that you make your reservations with a lot of advance because they don't take in a lot of customers at the same time and reading previous comments I can tell that for some people that is inconvenient, however, it makes a big difference on the experience because the server service is really good (you have the full attention of your server) and the food is freshly prepared by the time you order it. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and amazing views. The customer service is amazing. The staff were all attentive when it came to answering our questions and made really good suggestions. The menu has sections for larger dishes and smaller portions. For breakfast they have daily fresh juice, delicious coffee and teas and the menu has a lot of options to choose from. For dinner if you are a soup person I recommend that you always order a cup of soup, every day they have a different soup and the flavors are amazing. If you like desserts this is also a must, I loved all their desserts and my favorite one was the carrot cake, I like them because they were not too sweet and you can taste different combinations and flavors . They also have a happy hour. The bartender is really knowledgeable, she made recommendations to pair our food with wine and the combinations were tasteful, I didn't have the chance to taste their cocktails but they have a lot of variety . I love the fact that our dogs were welcome to the restaurant, they have a whole section for families with dogs and while we were there all dogs were calm and everybody was able to enjoy their meals in a great environment and the bartender and server were spoiling our dogs with delicious treats. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have a healthy, nice experience meal. And if you have dogs...this place is a must.
