First , It has not been Ace Hardware for several years, I miss the Ace Hardware at this location. Needed and Excavator recently for a project, called around, checked out several backhoe operators on line near me, checked with Home depot, Walked in to Aherns as they are very close. (about a mile from me) Rudy quoted me a daily rate for a mini excavator of $333. I commented that that was about $100 more than the completion, He told me that it include everything, fees taxes ect. He also reduced the delivery and pick up cost because I was so close. Was delivered, used it, No problems, had it picked up, Waited a week and had not received a final invoice. Checked my credit card company and saw that the final charge was $180-$200 more than I anticipated. Went in the store and asked for a copy of the invoice, Couldn't get the printer to work. When I asked about the extra cost and that he had quoted an all inclusive daily cost, he denied it. I ask him to send a copy of the invoice to my Email. (that took an hour). BTW I was also charged $8.50 per gallon for diesel, thought it was included. The equipment worked ,I got the job done, But I learned a valuable lesson. I wont be back, And you should beware.

They go above and BEYOND to accomodate ANY ORDER they always make sure they get our order right and our equipment has always been top notch and full of fuel. Liz was helpful at the counter and Rudy also. Last minute order was welcomed when everyone else said no they couldnt. Five stars from my company.

Went to rent a scissor lift. John at the front counter was very personable and helpful. Took the order with no problems and even gave me a discount on the delivery fee. Reccomend them highly.

Hello, my name is Chris and I'm a A&B contractor. I rent from Ahern. I was disappointed with, the day late delivery of a mini-excavator, for a pool dig, that somehow didn't get processed in the rental of 2 pieces of equipment. So they had to send a truck to L.A. to fetch it. We had guys on job and couldn't dig. BAD.

Your right! Customer service sucks in this place. I rented 2 pieces of equipment and returned it right away as soon as we are done, they refunded the money back to my credit card, when I called a few days later asking why my refund is not back in my account yet.. they told me it will take 3-5 days because of the holiday. 9 days later still no refund in my account. Getting pissed because they kept telling me it was done the same day. Then they told me it will take 21 days, so I ask maybe the credit dept made a mistake processing the refund. I called the corporate number, the manager said it will take time I told him I got my refund from Home Depot in 3 days. That their company is the only one that's giving me a hard time chasing my refund.. if it's only $2 that's fine but it was $351. Then they kept telling me that it was my bank, so I called my bank, they couldn't see the refund.. finally I called the bank again to file a dispute.. the banker told me he just saw the amount now.. that means Ahern rentals lies to customers about the refund. If I did not keep on calling them for the refund I may never get it. I will never go back to rent tools with them.

I rented a Trencher from these guys, when I returned it FULL OF FUEL, the guy in the yard forgot to make the tag... I noticed the $16 fee and told the cashier before leaving the window after going back and forth for 20 minutes she said "I'll just give you the $2 out of my pocket" I said "IT'S NOT $2, IT'S $16, IF IT WAS $2 I WOULDN'T BE BITCHING..." She then said I'll have to talk to the manager on Monday. Many Mondays have past since then, after trying to make contact with the manager many times I've yet to be contacted or credited. I have even gone to the extent of contacting the corporate office they were no help. Bottom line I have told everyone I know about my experience and don't recommend this rental yard at all.

Visited on 12-16-2017. When I walked in, the shelves were mostly bare. I was looking for some small corner braces. I asked the lady and she said if they had any, it would be in a bin with other items. I asked if they were going out of business. She said they were closing. I went to Sun City Hardware. There I found what I needed.

It's nice to have a hardware store and a rental yard right here in Romoland.. my experience with them has been a very pleasant one.. they are happy to help find what you need and with a smile on their faces..
