Nice gym, but the saunas don’t get hot. Never gets to the point where I sweat so I just don’t use them anymore.

UPDATE:Went back in to this location, multiple times actually. Was told that VP Nick is rarely there. Kept trying, and did meet him once. First talked to a Manager named Brianna. Showed her rates written down by Night Supervisor Alec. She said those were wrong and tried to take the paper. I held on to it. Picture attached. Nick sat down to talk with me and show me other rates. My dad called, so I had to take it. When I came back in, about half hour later, Nick was in another meeting. I left my cell number and email. Was told to expect a contact from Nick. That was September. It’s now October. Never got that contact. Left with the impression that this gym - Powerhouse Gym in Menifee, like EoS Fitness in Murrieta and LA Fitness in Lake Elsinore, is more focused on profits than people. I guess that’s the fitness business for you.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Ya know, I haven’t even officially joined Powerhouse, and yet, feels like I gotta post something to thank a couple of their employees for greeting a potential member with insomnia and treating me like already a member of the family. And that word is important for this place, though I didn’t know that at first.I first stopped by this location on Monday, September 11, 2023, just after 5:30am. I had just left the LA Fitness location, where I had been coerced to join with false pricing possibilities. I was sad, and really just wanted to find somewhere to play basketball. Did my Googles and found this place also had an indoor basketball court. And it was actually 24/7. Thought hmmm maybe it’s 24/7 like EoS Fitness Murrieta, which closers their b-ball courts from 9pm-6am daily for “cleaning”. So I dropped by and met Alec. Alec was informative and clearly explained that such “cleaning” would never prevent me from getting some shots (mostly misses tbh) up. Alec also took the time to write down the possible membership rates. When I expressed concern regarding prices, Alec was upfront. There was only so much he could negotiate on, but…there was someone else who could help. Alec gave me the name of Powerhouse Menifee VP Nick and told me when he’d be in next. I was blown away by the interaction. Simple, yea, but completely clear and honest and not what I experienced from LA Fitness or EoS Fitness in the same surrounding areas.Soooooo….I went back yesterday, Tuesday, September 12, 2023. This time it was just after midnight. This time I met Josh. Josh was newer than Alec, but he was informative too. Josh showed me the childcare area and explained how responsible the attendees were who supervised kids there. Josh also told me that this location and the two others in the area were all family-owned and operated. And they treated people — members and employees and even potential members just visiting like yours truly — well, and always with kindness. Josh then gave me advice on contacting Nick, without waiting to try and do it in person or heavens forbid over the phone. My social anxiety was soothed. My desire to join increased. Still hoping I can, though lack of refund from LA Fitness might make that tough. Still, worth a shot, based on the kindness shown to me by Alec and Josh, the beautiful workout, basketball and childcare facilities I visited and, let’s be honest here, the vibes. There’s just something about this place. It’s a little farther from where I live than the Murrieta location, but feels worth my hopefully near daily travel to get my run on and shots up. Hope to join soon, and would recommend others drop by as well to check it out themselves. In fact, it was reading a positive Google review about Powerhouse and Nick’s kindness that led me to actually check this place out in the first place, despite initially being intimidated by the buff logo and name. I guess maybe we’re all our own Powerhouses though…

Breanna brought us in when we first started and showed us around. Great gym! Highly recommended, just not when I'm there lol!

Classes come with membership as well as pool and sauna, plus they have childcare for our kids to enjoy while we grab a workout- although I always want to go play the mini arcade games from the 90's with the kids instead of doing cardio

Just called in to ask for some help about my current billing and health situation.I didn’t mention that to the associate that answered the phone twice, but He sounded like He wasn’t ready to help. After answering the phone like His bad day was my fault, I asked to speak a manager or GM. All he could say was that “He is busy” . Didn’t offer to take a message, just “He is busy”I told the guy to take my information down and see if he will actually call Me back.I get it customer service isn’t at the forefront of generally every business now a days. For sure not this place.I edited this post because the Manager Nick did call Me back and helped Me when He didn’t need to, Thank You Nick.

Great classes and instructors. But the room is not swept between classes so there's hairballs on the floor which is not cool.

It's a very nice gym and staff, but they have restricted the hours for Silver Sneakers members which doesn't seem fair. It may be time to find another gym where Silver Sneakers are treated as full members!

I love this gym. Not only do they have a media room for cardio, a steam room, and a dry sauna, but I am also able to use my monofin in the pool. The cost is not crazy and you get SO much. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I wish they had more yoga classes. The facility is clean and the staff is awesome.

Great for people who are serious about working out hard and yet still not a “judgy place”, everyone kind of does their own thing but people are friendly. They have a basketball court, full size swimming pool, sauna, tanning bed, workout classes and a child center. My whole family goes there.

Thank you Nick for giving me hassle-free 1 month membership to this gym. You gave me what other gym couldn’t. The place is clean and someone cleans all the time! In the women’s room there is a steam-room to relax you after a good exercise. The showers and changing rooms are a plus plus! I didn’t get a chance to use the swimming pool but it’s a pretty good size pool. Nick was very accommodating. Again, thanks Power Gym. It’s been a pleasure. Make this your Power Gym…highly recommended…you won’t be disappointed!

An excellent place to go and workout. I feel like everyone is welcome and there is no judgement here. Two of my favorite things is there Olympic sized swimming pool, and the dark room where you can do cardio while watching an action packed movie; this easily helps pass the hour away.

Love this gym and have been a member for almost 5 years. This gym is truly for those that want to get in shape and lift some weights. Not a social club to come sit on the equipment and send selfies to all your friends letting them know you are at a gym lmaoPeople that come to this gym tend to be on the more serious side of getting in a real workoutMy only complaint is too many people are throwing their locks on permanently in the locker room. Hard to find an upper locker these days. Management should really address that
