!!! Avoid it at all costs, they are making up the price to charge you a lot. Martha will give you unreal pricing.
I would cut my hair better for 50$ max in any other salon.

I just left my appointment with Roshana feeling like a brand new woman! She took amazing care of me and delivered exactly what I wanted. My hair feels so much healthier after my haircut and the dark red color I got looks beautiful. Her number is 408-406-0232 if you'd like to book an appointment with her! I texted her this morning around 11 am and had an appointment scheduled for 1 pm the same day!

This review is for Martha N. I came in for a woman's haircut. I asked for my hair to be thinned out with layers. I have very thick and slightly wavy hair that tends to get poofy and frizzy at the end of the day. Martha understood what I was asking for and I could see she was highly skilled and attentive in how she handled my hair. Overall, the haircut looks great, was fairly priced and came with a hair wash and styling. I'd definitely be happy to come again.

Fed up with the childish behavior of whispering about clients behind the shampoo area, passive-agressive behavior, death glares and neck rolling objection to my advicement of being allergic to a certain product, I stopped coming here to have my hair curled or flatironed. This review only reflects upon two particular stylists there whose presence greatly diminishes the professionalism and integrity of the salon.

I finally made an account just to give a 5-star review for Roshana. My hair was very long and flat after not getting a haircut for over a year due to COVID. I brought some photos for inspiration and she really adapted the cut to make it work for my hair. She checked in with me about the length of the front bangs a few times to make sure it was just how I wanted. She also styled it with waves since her next appointment was running late! I recently moved back to the Bay and my friend recommended her mother as my new stylist. I cannot recommend Linda at Expressions Salon enough! Linda has had 50 years' experience styling hair and knows exactly what she is doing. She was able to transform my fine, wavy, tangly hair that I've hated my entire life into something I'm proud to show off. Linda will take all of your preferences into consideration and magically give you the haircut of your dreams.

My review reflects only upon the two the stylist there at Expressions Salon on Oak Grove Ave in Menlo Park, CA whose behavior I feel negatively impacts the quality and professional image of the salon. I stopped coming to Expressions Salon recently due to the unprofessionalism and passive- impressive behavior exhibited by my primary stylist. To start her not being forthcoming in declaring her flatiron oven was broken when I complained my hair was not straight from the service. She was busted by another coworker who at my next visit mentioned in my presence her previous broken and the brand new oven that was currently at her station. The other two times, she defied my request to not use certain styling products and the third she did not allow my hair to fully dry before straightening causing reversion. What would have been the very last visit, I just spared her fault and asked to pay for another appointment but was given an appointment the following Sunday after 2PM due to her great concern of others seeing a redo a client. I had concerns about being in a closed shop without others present. Her coworker, friend who serviced me once at Expressions burned the hell out of my scalp with this very hot steamer apparatus that I was trapped under for some time. When in her chair, I was subjected to her neck rolling, hand on hip attitude in disagreement, to my advisement of my being allergic to products with coconut, because -her other clients had not complained!? Despite tipping this stylist and thanking her when I arrived at my last appointment with my primary stylist she stood for what seem like eternity at shampoo station giving me a death glare, for some reason, she later came to shampoo bowl with another client and positioned her (not so fresh smelling) behind right on the side my face instead standing of the other side during Covid distancing. Future present clients, just know it that it is not you, maybe Expressions management will take heed before it is too late.

Roshana was terrific! I had another hair appointment (different salon) fall through last minute and so I went on yelp. Everyone raved about Roshana so I texted her at (408) 406-0232 in the morning and she fit me in about 2 hours later. I loved the cut and she spent extra time styling it.

One word: ROSHANA. Just moved to Cali and was looking for someone with lots of experience and talent to give me a great haircut with highlights. I read a bunch of reviews on several salons near me and ultimately decided on ROSHANA @ Expressions. She listened to what I was wanting and told me what she thought would look great and then she preformed her magic! My cut is uh-mazing and the highlights are awesome! I had a haircut with Roshana today, she is excellent: she listened to what I had in mind, made recommendations and asked thoughtful questions.
