The new manager at the Menlo Park Unleashed location, Karen, is amazing! Customer service personified! Karen has the self bath area all set up with the necessary equipment and neatly organized. The entire store is clean and well stocked. Can’t find what you want? Speak to Karen or the outstanding staff and they’ll do what they can to get it for you. Most impressive turnaround of a horrible business to five star I’ve ever seen. Head over today!

I had a good experience yesterday bathing my dog in the self bathing area. Someone greeted me at the door and walked me through the entire process. Cannot beat this service for $20.A few FYIs:- self bathing is walk in only and first come, first serve. No reservations made.- if your dog is jumpy, make sure to secure him well in the tub. My dog jumped out in the middle of her bath.- the aprons provided do nothing. Bring your own waterproof apron if you don’t want to get soaked and be covered in hair.- the shampoo is highly watered down, so it’s only good for one full body bathe. Not sure if more if provided if you ask.- they were out of doggy perfume and recommended another customer buy some

Very poorly run, they only have 3 dog bath tubs and one is out of use due to blow dryer. They refuse to facilitate blow dryer sharing and imagist in making it a bottleneck, making patrons wait. When I made some suggestions to the staff (Isabel) she got frustrated with me, manager came super worked up and effectively said take it or leave instead of simple “sorry for inconvenience, we will look into it”. What an entitled behavior towards recurring customer. I will take my dog elsewhere from now on.

Horrific customer service, will never step my foot in this store again. They have been getting worse for a while since the manager changed, but today was quite something. The manager refused to engage in a conversation and essentially told me to leave. Well you get your wish, I’m taking my business to another pet store. Good luck staying open with this attitude!

Poorly run store by an awful mega corporation, last time we were there had to wait for 5 minutes to check out because the only worker there wasn't allowed to access the POS.

I have a new kitten and I bought the wrong food when I went back to exchange it the gal told me that I didn't use my correct phone number. Therefore she would not exchange it. I actually was so frustrated that I ended up leaving the brand new bag of food in the store because I'm not going to use. It She was not helpful and actually a little ghetto. I actually left and had an opportunity to review the receipt that I kept and noticed that she was indeed incorrect. The dry food was on my receipt, but she claimed that it wasn't on my account, and again I was just going in to swap it nothing had been opened. I am super disappointed, and I'm fine with her threatening me to open up her report I would like to speak with the district manager please respond.

They rarely have bags! Out of 5 years of shopping here, I think they only had bags to carry my larger amount of items once or twice. Last time, I had to carry 15 items to my car!

Terrible customer service.2 rude woman, Emma and Kris didn't want to help us. There was no one in the store and when we asked where was the fish pate for cats she said they are everywhere here you can find it yourself. When I tried to ask another girl Kris for the manager she rudely told me I'm on my break have a nice day. So disappointed, please educate your staff with basic manners and respect.

I agree with others about the horrible employee Emma - this place might be ok except for her. She was so rude, barking orders at me, obviously pissed off that I was bothering her with my business, slamming thing around. She also handled my dog very roughly before I intervened! The other employees indicated to me that they knew she was a problem and apologized for her behavior. Cmon petco - get rid of Emma!!!
