I recently purchased a vehicle from Auto Resources and had a very disappointing experience. After buying my car, I discovered they only gave me a key fob and did not provide the physical emergency key that comes with it. This left me inconvenienced for an entire week, unable to lock or unlock my car properly .
When I brought the issue to their attention, the staff showed no remorse, and no concern for the inconvenience they caused. I gave them a full week of patience and the when they finally contacted me they said I had to wait till Monday because they don’t work weekends . I get locked out of my car completely over the weekend , walking in the middle of the night with 2 kids . I eventually called a locksmith and had to take care of the issue myself and pay out of pocket, even though this should have been disclosed up front.
It’s frustrating when a dealership overlooks something as basic and important as giving customers the complete key set. I expected better communication and responsibility. I will not be returning for future purchases or recommending them to anyone.
All I asked was for reimbursement for the $200 (not including tax and lockout fee )I came out of pocket and the answer was no . Disgusting and inconsiderate.

Nate was friendly, honest, and provided exceptional service. We found the car online and when we arrived, he made the process quick and easy. He didn’t waste any time within a short visit we were driving off in the car we wanted. Highly recommend Nate for a smooth and professional experience!

Bought a truck found out I got sold b grade insurance that doesn’t cover the legal limits of a loan title for insurance and my check engine light came on before I made my first payment and have been told well it’s been just over 30 days that you have had the truck so we will have to check it out and go from there so DONT TRUST THEM CHECK EVERYTHING THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE A SALE!!!!!

Leo took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process stress-free. Don’t trust them. While in the process of buying my car I was told a story about their dedication to customer service and how they replaced a lady’s windshield a couple of days after she bought it because she swore the chip was their before she took it home.
Similar thing happened to me, the car was dirty so a chip on the windshield blended in and I didn’t notice it until I washed to 2 days later. I texted Joseph, who I bought the car through, and told him about the situation and the about the story I heard and asked for a replacement windshield as well. I even found the chip visible on a picture of the car I took at the dealership with the stickers still on it. He said they have never done something like that and the best they can do is fill the chip and their guy will call me to set up a time the next day and I settled on that. I was never contacted again.
This was a few months ago.

Great customer service. They have a huge inventory of nice vehicles. I live an hour away and they got me approved before I drove to Merced. I love my new car and and my monthly payment is exactly where I hoped it to be.

These guys do not know what they’re doing. I’ve been in customer services for years. I know things have changed a lot since Covid, but customer service has always been a thing with me. They were slow. They didn’t explain anything. They try to lowball you. And when calling them, they were very rude on the phone

Auto Resources Merced – Dishonest and Under Investigation
Do NOT trust this dealership. I bought a car from them that turned out to need major repairs almost immediately. They told me there was no warranty — and the paperwork says that too — but that’s a lie. There is a warranty they’re trying to dodge responsibility for.
When I pushed for repairs, they “fixed” the car but did a sloppy job and gave me no paperwork at all. They also lied about my down payment amount, and I only found out later when things weren’t adding up. The service department is sketchy and operating unlawfully — I’ve opened an active investigation into them.
Bottom line: This place is shady. They’ll say anything to get you to sign and then disappear when problems come up.
If you absolutely must deal with them, bring a witness, record everything, and do not trust anything that isn’t in writing and confirmed. They prey on people who aren’t looking close enough.

I just want the community of Merced to know not to pace any money in advance because Auto Resources will not refund your hard work money. They only care about making money

Leo 🦁 Brought my brother in law in here to look for a car. Leo helped us find exactly what he needed. Made sure all paperwork and numbers were squared away. If y’all are looking for a car AR is definitely the place to go. Talk to my man Leo and he’ll get you taken care of. Solid respectable guy.

I had the best Experience With Auto Resources, Moe Was Amazing Communicated With Me , Educated Me On Everything I Was Unsure About . Process was Very Smooth Quick And Easy . He Even Hand Delivered Me The Car I’m A Hour Away Great Customer Service. Isn’t Like The Rest If The Carlots I Spoke To . Wasn’t Trying To Just Get Me Into Any Car Just Because He Could . He Made Sure I Was Satisfied With My Car and My Payment Plan Thank You Again Moe .
