Driving back from camping in Yosemite. Got a hot meal nearby and then got gas here. Decided to risk it and add a car wash. It was just before the 8pm cut-off for the free pre-wash and the gentleman did a great job, gave him a decent tip for that. The car looks great for post-camping. Wish I could say the same for all the camping gear and myself. Ha.

If you have a performance vehicle, don't get gas here. Bought some "premium" (91 oct) here that caused my engine to knock so bad it was pulling timing. Logged it from my ECU. Got some 91 at shell and no knocks.Update: had to go here again recently in a pinch for a couple gallons. Seemed fine this time, no severe knocking. Wonder if they got a bad supply last time? I'm still skeptical, but maybe not as bad as I let on last time. Upping from 1 to 3 stars.

The manual pre-wash makes this one of Merced's best car washes. Always clean and friendly service. I just wish they sold alcohol...
