Customer service is horrible! I get it’s a tough time but don’t offer services you can’t offer. I expect delays in curbside pickup but don’t message it’s ready and then continue to hang up on me when I’m waiting following your instructions. Why do I have to get out of my vehicle and be an irate customer to get my order? I don’t mind delays or waiting but don’t message me stuff is ready and then act like I’m inconveniencing you because you have to work! Worst customer service I have ever had.

Similar bad experiences trying to get carpet and trying to get a security door. Both involved waiting a long time for someone to come out who was clearly not qualified and telling me they couldn't do it (the door) or couldn't do it for anywhere near what was originally quoted (carpet). Huge waste of time!

i went to Home Depot the other day and this employee named Jim was so awesome. He went above and beyond to help me. He seen that I was on crutches and I wasn't able to carry the item I needed to buy. He offered & he also was nice enough to carry to my car. Three other employees walked right by me didn't ask to help or if I'm looking for anything. Before Jim came by I told myself I will take picture of the barcode of the item I wanted & go home & order it to have it delivered. All I can say is I appreciate the customer service that he gave me. He saved me time by assisting me. They need more employees like him. Thank You Jim!!!!!

Horrible customer service. You have to find an associate, the associate doesn't find you!

Cindy's always out there at the kids' craft day. Today was a tow truck. Neat. Christian totally helped by putting all 3 of my girls' projects. I'm not able to hammer THAT many nails as he did. Thanks again for excellent customer service. 1735 McSwain Rd. 95341.

Every time we go to this Home Depot, the service is so bad it's maddening. You can't find people to help, their attitudes at the check out are nowhere near even good customer service, and after tonight, we aren't going back. We've had nothing but bad service in every department! Flooring and nursery specifically and Home Depot people should load heavy stuff but NOPE, WE can load the 10 bags of ROCK we just purchased because the salesgirl has called for someone twice and no one is coming. It's 6:PM. Is that too tough? Service at 6?? The #1 reason the store should load your merchandise is that if THEY drop it THEY will replace it. If YOU drop it, they don't. We're going to LOWE'S from now on.

I came into the Merced Home Depot location today for a replacement refrigerator water filter. I live about 20 minutes away so I always check the app for what I need to make sure what I need is in stock. The app said there were 12 filters of the model I was looking for so I went ahead and made the trip out there. When I got there I went over to the isle and bay that the app said they were located at. The shelf had the tag but it was empty. I called someone over to ask for help. They looked it up on their little hand held device and were told they had them in stock but they couldn't find them. There was 4 employees looking for them in different areas of the store including above the shelves. I spent 30 minutes there while 4 employees couldn't find what the app and they themselves told me they had. Worst part is, this isn't the first time this has happened to me here. About 2 weeks prior I went in looking for a kitchen sink soap pump cover. Again, the app said they had multiples in stock but the shelf was empty. The employee I asked for help looked it up and said "we have it in stock, but who knows if I can find it" I walked out the store immediately after hearing that. Both times I drove over to Lowe's to find the item I'm looking for, stocked on the shelf exactly where the app says it's located. In and out in less than 10 minutes. I'm seriously considering closing my Home Depot account and opening one at Lowe's and never stepping foot at a Home Depot again.

My experiences at Home Depot have always been a pleasant one. However the reason why they deserve 5 stars in this case is because the staff members helped us move over 60 pavers into our truck. It was very nice for them to help us out, especially since it's probably not required of them!

Update 03-02-2018 Attacked by their door installer saying 3 times they make not do job and asking personal questions. Complained to store manager. Totally criminal store. Update 07-27-2017 Hired a bunch of new people Yep, even worse. Google your product and likely found at WalMart for a cheaper price. Update 09-27-16 Going from 1 star to zero! Several know nothing employees standing around. Useless and helpless. Who hired those people? I waited 20 minutes to find out they can only duplicate house keys but not stamp them DO NOT DUPLICATE. Going from 5 star to 1 star Found their cashier in gardening dosing. Business so slow she was sleeping on the job. LMAO. Trying to get help is like Congress in action. Their SOD is usually dead or dying. Best batch is Thursday at 10 AM. Lighting? You want lighting? Son, go to Lowes. Home Depot lighting staff give bad advice costing me time and gas when fixtures they recommend don't fit. No spark of wisdom at Home Depot. F22 Circular flush mount LED conversions are found at Lowes not Home Depot with sparse selection.
