Payed 200$ for brake inspection, and they did not see that calipers and master cylinder were bad. Brakes had to be changed 2 times prior.

My maintenance light came on (A17) so my boyfriend said to have the 7 service done at Merced Honda. I called on a Saturday morning and the receptionist transferred me to the service department. 30mins later, the call got dropped so I called again and talked to the same girl who got my phone number. She said someone will call me before end of the day. I gave it a chance and called at around 230pm and spoke to someone from the service department. They were able to give me an appointment that week. THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT -- we got there and thr place was empty so someone helped us right away. The guy took my vehicle info and my info and told me that it will take about 1 to 1 1/2 hour to be done. They texted me after 1 hour to tell me that my car was ready. We came by to pick it up right before they close at 5pm. Service is great here. We didnt have any issue.

My wife took our Pilot for an oil change and they wanted to charge her more than what they had stated. They guy calls the mechanic to ask why (which as an advisor you should know what you are doing) to ask why, only to say it required more oil. Really? Your prices are set for an oil change on the V6 engines and gave the price. Why would it all of sudden come to a surprise? Plus, when my wife asked about some concerns that we were having, Luis was very condensing to my wife about asking them to just check if it was normal for the A/C to be crazy loud. Usually in the past they wouldn't mind and now everything has a fee. Want your brakes checked? Its a fee vs before it was part of inspection report you would get when getting any service. Never going back and rather go somewhere else if this is the service you get. Honda corporate should crack down on these dealers with such bad personnel. Go to Campus better and always honest and upfront with no hidden fees.

Went to buy a new civic after viewing them on their site , I get on the lot to find the car is almost $5000 more than stated online ($3250 market adjustment and $1250 accessories), salesman claims it’s an online mistake but could clearly see they use online price just to get people to come in , ended up coming to an agreement on final price but I needed to leave to go to work . I asked if we could resume the deal in the morning and was told NO deal is now or never , we’ll work pays the bills so I left , I came back on my day off to give them a chance to honor their previous price and was told it would be $1000 more so I went to Modesto Mistlin Honda and brought home a brand new civic with no haggling and no “Market Adjustment “. I won’t be returning to Merced Honda anymore and highly recommend anyone in the market to make the short drive to Modesto to save your money and sanity.

Got taken advantage of and over charged. Service writer, Juan Diaz, charged me $760 for labor only for an alternator job. Their rate was posted to be $169/hr. In doing the math the charged me for 4.5hr to do a job that the book states only take 1.5hr. Do not go here, unless you want to be over charged.

Our car was having electrical issues on the way to Fresno and we had to turn back. We couldn't make it home so we stopped in Merced Honda. We told them our desperate situation and instead of helping they took advantage of us. I was charged $1427.47 for replacing an alternator. Itemized to $616.14 for an aftermarket alternator and $760.50 for the labor. I didn't mind the cost of the alternator but what I was pissed about was the charge of labor. Their rate is $169/hr, and so they charged me 4.5hrs for a alternator job. I found out later from a friend that works at a Honda dealership that alternator jobs only take 1.5 hrs to do and should be charged accordingly to that. Where did the extra 3 hrs come from?

car was brought in for alternator. aftermarket was put on at listed price for oem parts. labor was over charged at almost 5 hrs!!! not even a serpentine belt change or tensioner replacement!!! and car was brought to us with water sprayed on bearings causing noises. manager does not care addressing service advisors and tech on honest charges!!! never will me or 100 of friends will return to this hell hole.

Was immediately greeted, but not pressured, as soon as we stepped foot on their lot. Supper friendly and helpful staff unlike the dealer across the road (Toyota). That place is the worst.MERCED HONDA #1

Juan in the service dept is a horrible person to be representing honda. He things he owns honda and hangs up and customers because he doesn't like thier answers. Then when I called back and asked why he hung up he said because he dont have to deal with cussing. Excuse me sir. No one cussed ur just a pansy on a high horse and think your the only person that can have a attitude. And by the reviews I can see this is standard procedure for Jusnn. Keep it bro. Pretty son there will be no business cause Juan hung up on them all.

My experience was poor. I bought a used car two weeks ago. The car has scratches and Honda promised to do a touch up when I bought it. And the end I took it to the appointment I picked it up and I realized the Honda staff just washed my car without touching up those scratches. I was treated like I was taking their time and were annoyed by it. I wont go back ever again to this dealer.

This review is for Mr. Arturo Velasco who works at Merced Honda. I was traveling to Yosemite from San Jose around the 4th of July holidays, when I met with a flat tire around Merced. I was taken to Merced Honda by AAA roadside assistance. It was about 6pm, and Merced Honda was about to shut down and most employees had left. Mr. Arturo who's about to leave, talked to me and assured me that he would help me get it fixed that same day. He checked multiple local garages and roadside assistances and found a roadside assistance and a garage(Costco) to have my tire fixed given that I needed to reach Yosemite that very day. He could've left once the roadside assistance was on its way, but he sat in the office and chatted with me and my wife to calm us down. He then went with us to Costco and use his membership to have my car serviced as Costco, given that I didn't own a Costco membership. Not only did he stop at that, but he also gave us a tour of Merced Costco and called me his 'Primo'.I can't thank him enough. He may call me his 'Primo', but to me he's my angel. He's one of those people who restore our faith in humanity. He wasn't obliged to help me, but he went out of his way to help a complete stranger. How many people would do that ?Folks, If I was living around Merced, I know whom to buy a car from - Mr. Arturo Velasco. He's one of the rare people who will treat you as family, and not as a customer.I would like to thank Arturo again. Was glad they were able to get me in with a few days notice. Came here for an AC extended warranty for compressor seal leak. Ac is priority for my kids. But while I was here figured do an oil change and transmission service. Ofcourse those 2 will be payed out of pocket so they made sure to do those first.3 hour day at honda has turned to an 8 hour day waiting for the freon to show up.
