Some of the staff at this M Street branch need to smile more, I avoid going inside because they're uninviting and maybe need better customer service lessons. This building doesn't stand out while driving on the busy street at all. The drive up ATM isn't convenient or safe, especially if it's dark outside. I needed cash so I got to this bank around 6pm on a Monday, they were closed, so I drove up to the ATM and put in my credentials, the 'Cash Withdrawal' button was grayed out leaving me without the option to get any money. Do they not fill the machine before closing in the evening??? They charge monthly for no deposit yet they don't provide seamless service to access that money. I will be closing my account with Mechanics bank solely based off of the service I continue to receive from this branch.

I usually use Yosemite branch because of issues like this. COVID hours open till 4, I’m there Friday right before 4 (didn’t know close early) and they tell me they won’t deposit my large cash business deposit because they can’t count it before 4pm. And closed on weekends. Disgusting you treat your customers this way and use a disease as an excuse for your incompetence and laziness. Only open 30 hours a week, meanwhile Chase, WellsFargo and B of A all open 6 days.

A quick visit reminded me why everybody is moving their money to credit unions. It will save you money, and you will be treated like a customer and not a suspect.
