Goodman Building Supply is in the Ace Hardware family. It is well stocked with knowledgeable and helpful workers.

Nice local hardware store. Garden department is ok - could definitely use some sprucing up from the perspective of someone who’s only ever worked at retail and wholesale nurseries. The employees are always very helpful and patient, and is generally not insanely busy.

Good selection but the employees are more concerned with spying on customers rather than assisting with patrons projects etc

If you think they’ve got good service, you either haven’t been here much or you got lucky. On average horrible attention to customers and to giving advice, with a few standout exceptions. I consistently leave feeling angry and exhausted, and if it wasn’t so conveniently located I’d never go there again.

Tired and decrepit, Soviet-apathy ambiance and attitude from most of the staff, and clearly there's no pride of ownership evident in the run-down, scabbed-together, patched-up nature of the operation. Just peer into the front windows to see the collapsing ceiling drywall, and you'll understand that the attitude is, "these rich idiots in Mill Valley will pay double-retail for the convenience, and be grateful, so why bother to run a dignified business we can proud of?" There are of course wonderful exceptions among the employees, but overall, this place is pathetic and infuriating.

Rich was so helpful and gave me some boxes from their recycling bin. Went above and beyond to help me out!

Ask for Jennifer. She is excellent. She actually understands stuff and has a real work ethic. She is an incredible asset to the store and the first person out of 10 I have spoken with it was actually able to help me. Thank you Jennifer.

Disappointing. Unclear placement of sale sign makes you think you're getting a deal only to find out sale price was not on your item. Descriptions are the same but minor diff on item number. Owner/manager 1st blamed customers for moving the sale stickers despite all of them in identical spots... Between 2 price tags.

I love this hardware store. I'm m a single widow and have always found friendly help when I'm faced with a problem. On Many occasions they have gone way over What customer service should be. This is my go to hardware store.

This is the only large hardware store in Mill valley. We go to this place quite often when we need to do our repairs around the house you could fine pretty much anything here although the prices tend to be a bit higher than Home Depot or Lowe’s, which is understandable because it’s a mom and Pop shop.

Just now heard from Goodman's with the excuse that prices are visible on a beam over the potting soil. Not true that day. Prices were no where to be seen which is why I asked for help in the first place. And! Got absolutely no where with the 3 employees who were sitting around the gardening check-out counter, whining about their jobs and how much they hated being there. I know what happened that day. I also know I will not be returning to Goodman's for anything further. Home Depot has my money, time, attention.
