We brought our cat in to be spayed and chipped. When we asked for an estimate ahead of the procedure, they were extremely vague, cagey, and wouldn’t tell me. Finally they gave me a price ($1200!!) and canceled my appointment. Would not recommend

The staff of Camino Alto Vet love your pets as much as you do. Can’t ask for more than that.

Really love this vet! We've been taking our 3yo cavapoo for 2 years and recently had our new puppy join Camino Alto's care. For our 3yo, Camino has been there to provide routine vaccinations, preventative care and gland care. In the last year he was diagnosed with pancreatitis after a messy weekend. Thankfully, he got fluids in time & new diet immediately. For the past 9 months Camino has helped us monitor his levels and recommend low fat diets - effectively dropping his "metric" from 2000 to 400, where 200 is the normal. Our new puppy got all her vaccinations, spayed and appropriate after-care at Camino (she LOVES everyone there). Camino has also helped us navigate Giardia. Neither of our dogs have a fear of the vet because of how great everyone is! Staff is friendly, vets are caring and great at taking care of our babies

I brought my dog in for heartworm and flea meds. He was given all vaccinations needed at once and an appointment for dental cleaning in a week. Three days before teeth cleaning my little dog got wobbly. I took him in and the assistant suggested that he had eaten marijuana. I was embarrassed, but it could very well had happened, so I took him home. The day of his teeth cleaning came and I was told they would run tests to make sure he was ready for the procedure. I called again and they said he was fine with no extractions. I brought him home. He was lethargic for days. Then he developed chronic diarrhea. I brought him back. Dr. tests again and diagnoses him with pancreatitis and sends me to Emergency because it was a weekend. Emergency and El Camino go back and forth and my dog was in obvious distress! I cried, I screamed, I insisted something was wrong!!! He died in my arms….$5,000.00 later!!! I still haven’t recovered from this horrible loss and I will not recommend this hospital to anyone.

A fantastic vet, very well with my reactive chihuahua and German Shepherd. Sadly it is to far for me as I live in Richmond. I really do recommend this vet but they seem to be packed with emails as sometimes my emails get lost. But they do answer the phone very fast!

I had an emergency with our 15 year old Golden doodle. Someone had put a tight rubber band around his back right leg... and it was there, unknown, and for so long that the band had penetrated through to tendons!! We discovered this after 5pm. The vet waited for us as we raced to their office. The validated that he still had good blood flow to foot. Nerves still ok. It's been 11 days since and he's made an almost perfect recovery...

I have a two year old chihuahua terrier mix. Bueller had what looked to me like an eye infection. He was rubbing his eyes and there was lots of discharge coming out of his left eye. I called his vet, no appointments for four days! I called two other vets..nothing for a month! I asked if these two vets were taking new patients and they said yes, but couldn't get them in for a month! Well, luck shined on me when I called Camino!! They squeezed Bueller in within TWO HOURS! They told me they were booked at first but when I explained, they made time for my baby puppy. I'll never forget how much they cared when they never met us. Needless to say, Bueller has a vet for life. Dr. V. was so nice and caring and the RVT and assistant were fantastic!! Please call Camino. You won't go wrong!! Bueller is on the road to recovery thanks to Dr. V. and her staff! Thank you!!!

I have been really happy with my experience. Scheduling is easy and available. I am a new puppy owner and expected my pup to be terrified of the vet and therefore the car. Instead, my pup literally jumps into my lap, excited to be handed to Cortney, who is so sweet and gentle with him. Even when getting a vaccination, he comes back out relaxed and looking like he felt safe. Thanks for your excellent care!
