I am so glad I sought this place out. Wonderful selection of well cared for native plants. The staff was lovely as was the entire vibe. The setting was cozy and beautiful. Very cool sculptures too. Not cheap, but highly recommend.

One of my favorite things to do while on a leisurely road trip, with time to spare, is to explore garden nurseries. The local small business owned ones are the best. The CNL nursery is just that... one of the best nurseries I've visited for the following reasons. They have lots of healthy, thriving plants with a focus on California native plants. They also sell gardening supplies. The staff is so darn welcoming and really down to earth. Plus they are knowledgeable. They know their stuff. The prices are not eye popping outrageous even if they weren't located in Mill Valley, CA, which they are.

Best nursery ever. All the native plants are amazing. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful every time I went. They helped me create a beautiful pollinator garden for my backyard. I recommend them to everyone and I can't stop going back. I've learned so much.

I visited CNL Native Plant Nursery while staying in SF with my son. He loves this nursery. Mary, the manager, is so knowledgeable about native plants; she was extremely helpful. I wished that I could carry plants home on the plane!¡

My new garden store. I called looking for milkweed since I was starting a pollinator and a butterfly garden. Mary, talk to me through some options on the phone. With this new information I decided to stop by at the store. It's my new garden store. There was someone there that is knowledgeable, that will walk you through what you need to know, that will make sure you get something that works in your garden. It's the first garden store I've ever been to that was this helpful and most importantly this knowledgeable. I've had some of the larger garden stores be helpful but their knowledge turned out to be faulty and things that I bought just died. This is my new garden store. I suggest strongly you make a yours.

I love this place and wish everyone would spend a little time browsing their enchanting space. I used to think that gardening with CA native plants meant that I had to give up the bountiful blossoms I was accustomed to finding at other nurseries. But one visit here changed all that and set my mind racing with the possibilities for using natives to create a beautiful, sustainable garden. The staff are so helpful and happily take the time to share information. Every time I visit, I learn something new and my desire to garden with CA natives grows stronger. Mary has been particularly helpful in so many ways, including sourcing a tree in a larger size and having it delivered (up a hill!) to my backyard. I cannot say enough good things about CNL Native Plant Nursery--they are simply wonderful!

I waked out my door one day to find that the company hired by my HOA had hacked down my 40-year old blooming jasmine vine. In tears and out of desperation I called a number of nurseries to see if I could get a full grown vine to replace it. No one could help me until I contacted CNL and talked to Marissa who pulled in the owner Mary because I was bawling. This isn't even a native plant but they took sympathy on me and Mary promised to do her best to find me a replacement. A week later, I had my 15-foot plant. There are no words to describe the immense gratefulness I have for Mary and Marissa. They cared and helped me, even when the request was not what they usually do. Thank you..

I love this place because they love the plants, and care for them in the most soulful way. I especially like Mary. She is always friendly and willing to give advice. And so, so knowledgeable. I will keep supporting this business for as long as I live in Marin. And they will do their part as far as growing good homes for the birds and the bees.
