Hands down the best haircuts I've ever had in my life. Owner and stylist, Oksana, it's beyond talented, skillful, and most importantly consistent. I'm not sure if she takes new clients (I've been with her since before D & O) but the quality of professionals she employees at D & O are at the top of their game. I highly recommend this salon!!! Had my hair cut by Aley and she did SUCH a beautiful job! This is by far the best haircut I've had in a long time she is very skilled at what she does!! The salon was clean, stylish, great music, and overall had good vibes. Would definitely return here again.

After some disastrous experience at another hair salon, my extreme disappointment was put at ease when Danny McCarthy of D&O Salon in Mill Valley, expertly brought back beauty to my hair. I truly admire his talent and authority in the field of hair coloring. I also especially admire his patience, tenacity and how much he cares. Danny absolutely exceeded my expectations! He is an undeniably dedicated hair colorist, an excellent professional who is able to communicate effectively and understand his clients' preferences. I believe that all the admirable qualities I have mentioned about Danny are especially essential in the hairdressing industry. Danny McCarthy is EXCEPTIONAL!

I've been going to Alexa Bynum at D&O for six-plus years now and she's hands-down the BEST stylist i have ever had! She does my cuts, partial highlights, balayage, etc and just "gets it" - these days I just let her do whatever she wants and it always comes out stunning. Even her styling skills are top-notch; and she's as friendly as they come. I've also been to Danny for makeup and hair before a couple of events, and he's outstanding. Plus anyone who's ever filled in while Alexa was gone (eg on maternity leave), the assistants, the owner, the team at the front desk - all have mad skills and are friendly and welcoming. Oh- and the post-shampoo massages are heaven. Highly recommend!

Lily cut my hair for the first time about two months ago. She did an amazing job, doing exactly what I asked for--giving me less weight at the bottom and more movement at the back. The techniques she used made a huge difference in bringing out some natural wave in the back. It still looks really good almost eight weeks later. Lily did it really effortlessly and on the first time working with my hair. I'm happily surprised. She's very talented.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my hair after coming to D&O Salon!! (I don't know if I should post the stylist's name, so I will just write her initials) A.L. was FANTASTIC, before we started I let her know I wanted to save my hair to donate and she had no problem adding in the few extra steps of sectioning off my hair into small ponytails, and cutting it so the bundles stayed intact. Now for the haircut, I wanted to get a bob (at the time I didn't know the name for that specific style, but A.L. was able to figure out what I was trying to describe.) She was very thorough and made sure there was a clean line and that my hair fell properly. I've never had a stylist pay such attention to detail while cutting my hair, that being said I think this is the best haircut I've ever had! Start to finish I would give A L. as well as D&O Salon 5 stars across the board. I would love to become a regular client. Even if I come in without a particular cut/style in mind I 100% believe my hair will be in good hands with A.L. For one of few moments in my life I actually felt good about myself after leaving the salon, I even got a compliment on my hair while I was at the grocery store and without hesitation told them who was responsible for my hair.

I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair and makeup! Coral and Aley did a beautiful job for my wedding glam, as well as for my sister and mom. The makeup lasted alllll night long and my hair held up perfectly. Extremely professional and kept to the schedule to the T. Really recommend for any glam needs.
