The Mill Valley Public Library is a magical and delightful place, often considered a favorite and one of the top libraries. It is set in the redwoods, surrounded by old growth trees, creating a serene, woodland, and almost Hogwarts-like atmosphere. The architecture and setting are magnificent and world class, with peaceful, airy spaces and serene forest views from almost every window. It is a beautiful, quiet library and a perfect spot to read, work, gaze out the window, or paint on the deck. There are many amazing places to sit, including in front of the fireplace. The main floor can be less quiet than the ground floor. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good section for kids. The library is a great place to visit before a hike, offering a satisfying experience. The only noted issue is that parking is very limited.
They host phenomenal events ranging from local history to book releases. And of course, the otherworldly backdrop under the redwoods ππ»

The MV library features classes of interest to me. Today I took a Chatgpt intro class. It was very informative.

Came here mid afternoon on a Monday on a school holiday and it was a bit crowded. Street parking only and you have to be lucky since itβs next to park. A great place to read next to a window overlooking the redwoods if you find an empty seat.
