Review is for the cafe! Out of hot sandwiches! Over 10 bucks for two slices of bread with melted cheese! Raw veggies, at least steam them! Two stars for serving some kind of food in the middle of nowhere.

The cafe and gift shop at Muir woods are great for a cold winter day and a place to pick up a nice gift for the season.

The only cafe inside Muir Woods and it's ok. Picked up a couple of snacks and coffee from here. The staff seemed nice and relaxed. The BOGO on bakery items was interesting, never seen that with food elsewhere. It worked, I got a brownie and a cookie which were OK. The PBJ was OK too. OK...that's a lot of OKs which represents this place well. Serves calories... if you are looking for delicious food, go elsewhere.

The food was bad and way over priced. The hot dogs were pale on the outside and pink and mushy inside. My kids and I had a messed up stomach for over 3 days afterwards.Definitely bring your own food.

Rude staff. Looked at me like I had two heads when I approached the counter to make a purchase. Then no words spoken at all during the transaction. Very odd experience. Loved the park though.

Everyone was so nice. Good selection. Really liked the cinnamon twist at the little cafe. Purchased some magnets.

Had a rare situation arise and decided I would give the shop a call. I was greeted by the General Manager Jonathan. I told him my situation and he immediately resolved it forme! I will forever be grateful for what he was able to do for me. I highly reccommend this store to all looking for a great souvenir after a great trip to Muir Woods!

Food sucked and was criminally overpriced. I get it’s a national park but cmon. And if you’re going to charge what you charge, at least make the food tasty and the proportions worth it.

I always buy mugs when I visit national parks. I bought a mug today from Muir Woods gift shop, ($16 including tax) and just found that this mug had been broken before and glued together. So disappointed that the official store of national park sells a product like this.

Great place to rest your feet, pick up some souvenirs, and a little bite to eat before hitting the road again.

DO NOT EAT HERE, unless you enjoy being ripped off and served sub quality fare with mediocre service. We came on MLK day after a hike up to bootjack trail. We had 1. Tuna Salad sandwich -$12.95 2. Turkey and Jack melt - $12.95 3. 2 large coffees $8.50. For the prices we were expecting some good sized "deli" sandwiches, especially as there was no seating other than outside on benches in the cold. Boy, were we wrong! The turkey Jack melt had barely 3 ounces of turkey and cheese combined. Although the taste was adequate, the sandwich was nothing special and came with no condiments. Value = $4.95. Not even a pickle, nor any tomato, nor lettuce on the side. My tuna salad sandwich had a healthy amount of tuna salad on the first half but the second half had barely anything and was all bread. Although I had asked for sourdough, the sandwich came on white bread, which was anything but sourdough. Truly amazing since this is San Francisco area famous for sourdough. Value = $5.95. Coffee was adequate. Other patrons were similarly negatively surprised . We suggest bringing your own picnic lunch to eat after you hike. They should also change the rules to ALLOW you to picnic in the grounds ( since they charge a fee) and cut their food prices in half while adding some protein to the meal!
