Writing this review specifically for James in Floral as he was so incredibly helpful and created a beautiful bouquet for me. He went out of his way, even though there was a few obstacles with my order and seemed genuinely happy to help and had such a sweet and positive attitude. Thank you so much James!

Love love, Safeway every bit as good as Whole Foods or any of the other high-end, grocery stores. Great fish, great meat department prices are great tons of organic love shopping at Safeway.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Amazing that Safeway is still in business considering how rude and miserable their employees are. I just spent $240 worth of groceries and am met by a cashier that doesn't say a word to me and pushes the groceries towards me to bag them up, then charges me for the bags I used to bag up my own s**** I should see what would happens if I sent Safeway a bill for my time bagging their product.

Today, I unfortunately was presented with a very distasteful racial remark by this gentleman, Sal. I am an Instacart worker, who was in line behind a couple. They were getting checked out by this man who then looked at me, then back at them and proceeded to make a joke saying "Well somebody's jumping the border" in a snarky tone. The couple then looked at me and we all looked back at him, as no one laughed. This was very disrespectful as I am of Latina decent and very distasteful and obviously prejudice considering I'm not even Mexican. Obviously rooted in hate. I will be taking further actions to assure this man is dealt with.

Excellent meat department. If you're looking for something that's not in the display case(s), talk to Luke and tell him what you need. When we needed a 2-lb London broil for a new recipe, no problem, 15 minutes later Luke brought out a beautiful "steamship round" (he explained the history of that terminology) 2-lbs on the dot. When we needed some 1-1/2" thick bone in pork chops (with the tenderloin) for an impromptu barbecue we had, he knocked it out of the park. Any time I need a nice lean eye of round for my smoked beef jerky recipe and there isn't one readily available in the meat case, he will take the time to cut one for me. The rest of the meat department staff are accommodating but if you're needing something really special, talk to Luke if he's available and he'll take care of you.

I stopped by Safeway to buy some water and use the ladies room before heading back to Sacramento. This Safeway is located right off Highway 101. It's a medium sized store and the aisles are well speced out. It wasn't busy when I came by and was able to check out pretty quick!

I was going on a sailing trip and needed 7 custom deli sandwiches. I went to the deli in Strawberry and met with Carina. She took my order and said the sandwiches would be ready at 8 the next morning. She wrote the initials of each person on the wrapper to minimize confusion. They were packed and ready and I was thrilled! They were delicious and my friends were delighted. Thank you Carina! You brought customer service back to a world in need of more people like you!

Excellent quality and services. We buy all meat, poultry products from Safeway. Produce and fruits are also very good quality. We love their fried chicken tender and fried chicken. Their hot sandwiches are also delicious.

We went in for some ice cream just wanted two ice cream bars I'm disabled - every single cart was pulled up next to the disabled space. see the photo!! When will people start understanding that hatch marks are not to store carts in, People in wheelchairs need that extra space to move around people who are disabled and they're not in wheelchairs need that space to move around!!! Inexcusable **Update I contacted customer service via landline and told them about the issue the person I spoke to was super concerned and said she would get on it right away I totally believe her and I hope this never happens again I can't tell you guys how many times I have tried parking in a disabled space and had the space next to the disabled area which is across hatched and meant for people who are disabled to use filled with carts it happens all the time and it's so frustrating. Thank you for your quick response and I hope I have a better review for you in the near future. I have upgraded my one star to four

I like Safeway , totally . It's a store we can count on . Mill valley has two Safeway's , both about the same , but strawberry village is a quick shot off the highway . Both stores are busy , that's constant , but they all are working hard to get you in and out . Today we bought a Butterball . Usually we do a Willie bird or Diesel , last several years , my Mom does a brine Willie bird from Williams Sonoma . But ultimately the butterball rocks ! Target usually has them on sale , we did not check that , oh well . It's starting to feel chaotic out there , we saw a accident happen right in front of us in the city & then encountered a bad one in Novato . Slow down people & let's keep our heads up and be mindful .
