I was recently referred to Carla Madison the owner of salon Maddison by someone who had amazing hair. I have been going to a salon nearby but was starting to feel that the prices were getting unreasonable. Not only is Carlas salon beautiful and relaxing, her cut and color blew me away. It’s really important to me to love my hair and I haven’t been this happy with my hair in as long as I can remember!! Carla’s techniques are unique and different- techniques I hadnt seen in the past even at very bougie boutique salons. Also, she uses a color brand that I had not heard of but is very specialized and it makes a big difference.
Not only all of that good stuff, but this too: after our initial consultation when I told her what I wanted- she later spent time looking at pictures and sending them to make sure we were on the same page. I haven’t had that level of professionalism and service ever - I don’t think.
If you’re considering trying her, don’t hesitate because you will be so happy!!

Just got a trim and partial foil with Colleen. I had previously gone to her at Experience Salon in Sausalito, and followed her to Salon Maddison. Colleen is so wonderful and does a great job- I am blonde and always very happy with my highlights and cut. I highly recommend Colleen, and really liked how bright and open this new salon was!

My sister took me to Salon Mill Valley to get highlights in my hair for my 66th birthday. She always goes there to see Lili, a master stylist/colorist, who dyes, cuts and highlights her hair, and she always looks fantastic - so I said yes.I’d been dying my own hair for years, and since the pandemic, when my hair got long I only wore it in a pony tail or bun.Lili not only did a fabulous job with the highlighting, she talked me into a trim. I couldn’t believe the transformation! I looked 10 years younger; my husband immediately told me how great I looked, as did my friends and kids.Lili does wonders - I recommend her to anyone. What a difference a day makes?.

Carla did an amazing job on my hair. Hadn't cut it in two years and I couldn't have trusted a better person to bring life back to my hair! She's also just a wonderful and warm person, makes you feel relaxed and welcome. Truly a gem!

Carla is amazing! I have a busy schedule and she both fit me in for an appointment and respected my time constraints whilst doing impeccable work. After a year of managing my own hair due to the Pandemic, seeing Carla was a breath of fresh air. She was so welcoming, personable, and gave me a great haircut and blowdry. It made me even more excited for the next time I can go out into a normal world. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Carla is amazing!! She really takes the time to personalize your hair to exactly what you want it to look like. She is very very knowledgable and uses great technique. She's also great at color matching. Whether that is making sure the top of your hair matches the bottom (I had uneven color before her) or just making the most flattering color that goes with your skin tone. Carla will help you look and feel your best!

If only there were more stars. Short version of review - this salon has it all. Highly talented owner and operator, great location with easy and free parking, beautiful, well-appointed salon with perfect COVID compliant safety measures, and very fair pricing for the amazing service provided. Carla is absolutely the best and I am positive that you will be happy with your experience with her. More detail if you want it - I had been going to the same person to do my hair for 15 years. Obviously, I was very happy with her work. We recently moved to Mill Valley and I had to find someone new. I was fortunate enough to find Carla and her lovely Salon Maddison. I was impressed from the first contact. She asked for information in advance including a headshot and was well prepared when I arrived. The salon is very well located across the street from Whole Foods on Miller in Mill Valley. There is free parking right in front of the salon. The salon has inside and outside options. If she works on you inside, you are the only person in the place. She is talented and meticulous. I thought my previous person did an outstanding job. Carla is much better. She did not just copy what was being done on my hair, she improved it. She ever so slightly changed the color to make it better match my skin tone and even better coexist with the ever increasing grey. Almost everyone I have seen since has commented on how great my hair and color is. First my husband who never really notices. Next my daughter. Finally, the first two work colleagues I met via video conference, one being a man. What did you do to your hair? It looks amazing! Not only is Carla talented, she has a great personality and is very fun to talk to. She also did my husband's hair - just a cut. He was very pleased and will continue to go to her. I am thrilled to have found Carla and this spot and only hope that her business will continue to survive and thrive during the tough times ahead. She can count me as a truly loyal customer forever!

Simply the best! Carla is a true pro; my cuts and highlights have always been spot on and I leave feeling like a million bucks. At least some of that is because Carla is so service focused, personal and caring. 10 out of 10. A+ awesome!
