“In August 2023, I decided to sell my two-unit Victorian home in Noe Valley, San Francisco. After interviewing three agents from different brokerages, I selected Stephanie Sills and Irina Luck from Palermo Properties Team at Compass. They were very professional and experienced with selling multi-unit properties as well single family homes in SF. They suggested the highest selling price compared to the other agents and presented their proposal for how to achieve it. It was clear that they had thoroughly researched similar properties and understood what the market could bear with the right plan.We signed on September 23rd after I moved to New York City. I left the house ‘as is’ with all the furniture, clothes, bedding, and even the dishes in the dishwasher. Irina and Stephanie did an enormous job of cleaning and fixing up the house, removing furniture, replacing fixtures, trimming trees, landscaping the backyard, painting, and staging both units within a very short time. They have great connections with multiple vendors and were able to move the process along very quickly. They also handled the inspections and secured an attorney to establish a Tenants In Common arrangement, in case the best outcome was from two separate buyers rather than one family wanting the entire house.After only a month, the listing was launched and the transformation was incredible. Stephanie and Irina's preparation, presentation and marketing of the property stimulated strong interest. Within just 10 days, they generated dozens of showings and courted multiple offers. They negotiated a final sale price above the asking price, and delivered a flawless escrow. Wow!During all this time, I was not present in San Francisco. Stephanie and Irina facilitated all the arrangements via the Internet and telephone, including online payments and electronic signatures. They also organized a notary who came to me in New York to sign the deed.I am delighted with this experience from both personal and financial perspectives. We were first time home buyers and reached out to Lee to take us on after watching him give a presentation for the San Mateo HEART loan He accompanied us to our first few viewings and showed us what to look for in different types of properties, and taught us how to be prepared so that we would know what to look for before we physically saw them. Once we were more confident, he gave us space to explore open houses on our own. Whenever we needed him though, he made time to jump in and help us however we needed.
