“This is the place to shop at if you are trying to get decent tools or hardware for cheaper than the big box orange guys, because let's face it, you really don't need to shell out the big bucks when you are still figuring everything out. That said, there are still some misses, ahem their countersink drill bits, where you probably won't be a happy customer. Just remember the old adage that you get what you pay for. This location is also in a sketchy-ish location and you get the vibe with all their shoplifting prevention. But come on, if you're buying tools at a bargain price then this is far down the list of deterrents. Especially when you get a very similar experience at the orange big box guys. Happy shopping and DIYing my fellow weekend warriors.”

“Went to The Newark Home Depot in search of blinds for the window in my house. I stumbled upon this young fellow and not knowing how things work, he showed me to the blinds section where I was taken back by the various options shown to me. He was quick and speedy ask what it was I needed done which such charm. He made the process so easy and painless, he even called a fellow worker to assist me in cutting my blinds to the exact measurement. He even boxed up my product for me. I will be searching for him next time when I need assistance. He really cared about the depot where doers get things done. And I count myself as a doers, he really showed me how to get it done. If I were his manager, I would applaud his efforts. Thank for Jovani for your help and service to the Newark Home Depot, you now have yourself a valued customer! ;D <3”

“I purchased my Christmas tree from this location. The staff were friendly and helpful giving me tips on how to choose a tree suitable for my place. They make sure the bottom of the tree trunk is fresh enough to absorb water. They also remove all of the tiny unwanted twigs close to the bottom branches. Once I chose the tree I went inside the store to pay for it and to get some other stuff I needed. The staff will not leave until they make do you have what you need.”

“I want to give a massive thanks to Andrew in the plumbing department for stepping forward and helping me out with cutting some pipe I had bought at this location. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.Other than Andrew, my experience with this location was very poor. I called ahead of time to ask if there was someone working today who knew how to operate the pipe cutter. The employee had the worst attitude and knew nothing about the store or what products were available. He sounded incredibly bored and gave me more dramatic sighs than actual answers.When I arrived and was asking around for help, the employees were extremely unprofessional and dismissive. There were a couple huddled around making jokes about their genitals and acted as if I was interrupting when I asked for help. Nobody even knew the location had a pipe cutter. Fortunately Andrew walked by right at that moment to help another customer and I was able to ask him for help.”

“Finally found a kumquat tree at this Home Depot. When asking the cashier (whose name is "Tawheed" on the receipt) for a bag, he told me to literally go to the Garden Center, which was closed, and get it MYSELF from behind the cashier desk. The audacity... considering I'm on a boot and disabled, using a scooter cart.Meanwhile, Lei, hears him and offered to go get it for me. She was more than accommodating and has provided an excellent level of Customer Support/Care. She deserved a 5-Star!However the most I can give is a 4-Star, due to her colleague who couldn't have cared less. He should be ashamed of being lazy and showing up to work. Stay home next time with withcha rude self (Tawheed)!”
