Visited around 11am this past Sunday, and they had Iimited offerings compared to other farmers' markets (such as Sunnyvale or Mountain View)... but from the few things we did get, the products and service were phenomenal. Yummy pastries and sandwiches (ie. jalapeno & cheese croissant) from Adorable French Bakery, coffee beverages from Buggy's Brew, oyster mushrooms and grapes from the veggie food stands, delicious filipino snacks (bbq pork, lumpia, and spring rolls) from Mekeni's Abe, and some tasty braised beef steamed buns from one of the other hot food stands. This is a small and simple farmers' market, just fruits, veggies, a few desserts and hot food stands, and several flower vendors. No decor, live music, or any kind of entertainment. And parking isn't easy in the Great Mall parking lot during the holidays, but that's expected.

My go to and favorite market for the last 10 years has been the Mountain View Farmers' Market. If I have plans on Sundays, I choose to go to the Sunnyvale's on Saturdays. I wanted to see how Milpitas Farmers' Market compares to the two and if it could cover our necessities as well. I must say I was surprised to see the number of vendors although it is not as big and varied as the MV's. I was also hoping to find more certified organic products, but that is not so. Still, it is a viable option if you do not want to buy waxed apples, cucumbers, zucchinis, or vegies that sit spoiled and moldy on the grocery store shelves. The highlight of my visit to this market today was freshly caught mackerel and sardines from Monterey Bay ($4/ lbs each), which I gutted myself; no big deal, I am used to it. They also had a type of huge rockfish, which the vendor said they would clean. There are ready to eat food vendors, two or three bakery vendors as well. There is a lady who sells eggs, too; I think she sells at the MV as well.Although I arrived way too late, the vendors still had plenty of produce to sell.I am grateful to be living in a farming state and having options and access to many farmers' markets around us. Thanks to all who make the markets possible during Rain or Shine or Storm!

This is my Sunday morning routine. I love this farmers market, always a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. Farmers are fun and easy to talk to. They will give you great advice on how to pick an even cook some veggies! It is very well organized and easy to get in and out of. I recommend getting there early because it does get busy.

First impression... Live music is always a winner. Smell of fresh popped popcorn ... yum! A lot of fruit this time of year. They say cherries should arrive around July. Feels like there are more food establishments than fresh produce ... LOL. Certainly worth a stop if you haven't been. Get a little sun and enjoy life!

Plenty of parking at great mall. Not too many stalls so it doesn't get overwhelming. The fruit stalls let you taste the fruit so you can pick the fruit you enjoyed that day. Quality is excellent, I especially loved the okra/bhindi which is hard to find fresh and tender. Some store owners allow you to use a credit/debit card, for a fee so it may be better to carry cash and a nice big shopping bag.In case you're thinking of also going to Great Mall, please be aware that it doesn't open until 11 am on Sundays, while the farmer's market is open 8am -1pm. So you may want to time your visit properly.

It was fun visiting today! I had purchased from 2 baking goods stands, 1 orchid stand, and 4 produce stands, and 1 Philippine hot food stand. Everything was fresh, good and affordable! Also It is a good season to get my favorite sticky corns.

Medium sized farmers market which is located at a sectioned off parking spot of Great Mall. Lively and eccentric. It's a little hectic since parking is at the Great Mall, so lots of cars and pedestrians weaving in and out in every direction. Plus the market is right next to a McDonalds so that adds more cars to watch out for. Pretty long line at the information booth, more than other farmer markets in the bay. But it goes by quick enough. Lots of Asian and regular fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Kettle cooked popcorn, Mediterranean, honey, dairy, flowers, plants, bakeries, variety of hot food vendors. Bought a honeycomb stick, king oyster mushrooms, daikon, super sweet melons, watercress and huge green onions. Live music today was by Season of Us which features relaxing guitar and flute playing.

We got to the market a bit late at 10:15 AM but there was still plenty of produce and fish present. Prices were very good and very affordable. I love the seafood selection they have. I highly recommend going to this farmers market to get the best prices you’ll see.

Pricey like most Farmers Markets. But you go here for the fresh local vegetables, fresh local fish, and the small community vibe. (You don't really get the small community vibe here, but there is fresh produce!) A Farmers Market unlocks many other varieties of produce or fish that you must try. It's hard to explain which, but ask the sellers how they recommend prepping the stuff. It's fun talking to the merchants to ask where they're from, how they grow / catch their fish, haggle, etc. That's not something you get at a Safeway or Whole Foods or Trader Joe. Unfortunately this farmers market is on the tiny side, not a lot of variety beyond produce. I wish there were small artist stalls, meats, cheese, etc. Parking is a breeze since it's at Great Mall. It does get hot though because there's absolutely no shade!
