“I like going to these type of stores since they sell cheap products. It’s like going to one of those Japanese stores to find nice, well-made products here. They have charts that display the conversion of USD to Japanese yen, or ¥. You’ll see that the prices are not in USD but rather in ¥. Usually the ones that don’t have a price tag costs $1.75. Although that some products are not made in Japan, you can still find ones that you need at a cheaper price.”
“Daiso is a Japanese household goods chain and this location in California is a large one, which means the selection is broader than what you find at smaller branches. The store carries an extensive range of everyday items at a flat price point, most things running around $1.75, with some higher priced items marked in yen alongside a conversion table posted throughout the store to help you work out the equivalent in dollars.
The product range covers more ground than the format suggests. “This should be a 5 rating because of the store's offerings, so many nice things, and it is quite affordable. Also, hubby and I were greeted as soon as we walked in. Although there was no acknowledgment while browsing, I was okay with that. This was what we had been trying to find. I think you can find whatever you need there, except for appliances and big-ticket items, of course. You won’t get bored looking around. But the cashier was the main problem here. He looked like he hated his job. The line was long and seemed nonstop. He's looking at it with a frustrated stare. There was no greeting when we reached the register, no smile, and his tone was unpleasant. I tried to engage him in conversation, but he didn't reply; he must have disliked being on the register that much. He must have needed more training. But everything else was good.”

“In San Jose downtown go east on Santa Clara street passing Jackson . This is a hidden place and the only store in the strip that has foldable shopping carts. Price has gone up to fourty dollars for a medium cart with turnable large back wheels. Washing sponges are great! Go figure....”

“First time in here & overall it's tidier than dollar store or Ross. Most things are $5 or less. I was happy with cute plush pillow, $1 bday cards, cheap snacks, fidget toys & Valentine's Day stuff right now. There's some books, cosmetics, lots of candy & toys and art supplies. Overall some good stuff not quite 5 stars because there was one only poor woman handling like everything. Shout out to her for staying polite & helpful throughout.”
