Loved every moment of the stay! We spent one night for a weekend trip to explore the Avenue of Giants, but I could totally see spending more time here just decompressing and taking in the forest. There is a well-stocked grocery store (with gas/electric charging) just across the street alongside a cafe, so a pretty optimal location as well. The resort has an adorable outdoor cat (grey with white paws) that loves attention. Not sure what their name is, but we called him Mr. Grey like another reviewer did. Gave us a complimentary security check and vehicle inspection! Miranda Gardens is a solid choice for a stay of any length.Rooms: We stayed in Cabin 6. Clean, well-equipped kitchen, and very cozy. Everyone was amazed at how nice it was! I would personally recommend trying for a cabin in the back closer to the forest so your cabin’s deck faces the woods for a good view.Noteworthy details: Very convenient location if the Avenue of Giants is the point of your trip. There is a really beautiful forest behind the cabins, accessible by a gate behind the playground. The walk down is a bit steep at points and can be covered in roots and branches, so be cautious. The view from the gate itself was a bit mesmerizing.

I needed to change hotel in the evening due to a bad experience and called Miranda Gardens Resort. The Staff were so kind and helpful and waited for me to arrive before closing the office and I had the cutest little cottage for my nights stay with its own parking spot. A great nights sleep and the perfect place to stay in the center of the Redwood forest

Cabins were in a beautiful setting and were well cared-for. It's somewhat of a step back in time in a very nice way -- appropriately adapted to our times.

We have been coming here for 20÷ years and cannot in good conscience return. We are sad but the new owners are destroying this place. Here we are in cabins full of awful furniture, cheezy decorating, poor internet .... On a good note, the lady at the front desk is super and gets 5 stars!

It’s quite literally inside the Humboldt state park..cottages are cute and private between redwood trees, with couple of good food places on the opposite

The resort consists of several wooden cabins in the forrest. The cabins are very nicely furbished, a gas chimney to make you feel comfortable, great place for visiting Humboldt

Thank you to the staff at Miranda Gardens Resort. Clean cabins, friendly and accommodating staff. We celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's wedding the weekend of September 22-25, 2023. The setting was amazing amidst the majestic Redwoods, on the Avenue of the Giants. We had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend the resort.

What an absolute gem! Take a step back in time and slow your pace... Lean in and relax! The cabins are comfortable with the giant Redwoods almost touching your doorstep. Truly a gem among the Redwoods.... Stay again....

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The cottages were very clean and decor was cute. The bed we had was not the best comfort, but I am very picky about beds. (Like The Princess and The Pea) The redwoods on the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the big firepit. A great place for a family group to stop over while on a road trip.

Individual cabin, right off CA254 (Avenue of the Giants). From exterior it is very non-descript. However, the little cabin I was in was perfect for me and very clean and comfortable. Small refrigerator and coffee maker. Across the quiet street is a small coffee shop that makes delicious breakfast sandwiches and has yummy croissants, etc . I picked up my breakfast and drove to a quiet spot to park among the redwoods! There is a cafe restaurant next door, too. I was in cabin 2A..

Pros: Very quaint, hospitable and right by the Avenue of the Giants. It felt like we had traveled back in time. We had a very enjoyable walk in the forest right behind where we were staying. Cons: Blinds were broken which made it cumbersome to open the windows on a warm night.

This place is magical! Although we only stopped for one night on our road trip, it was a special experience to stay in the middle of the redwood forest. We had Cottage 2A which is one of the smaller queen units and no pets allowed. Although the decor was a bit dated, the room was extremely clean and well maintained. The bathroom looked updated and had plenty of counter space (rare!). The mattress was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The grounds were quiet and peaceful on a Sunday evening. A few resident cats were roaming around. Highly recommended for a unique stay!
