I am also extremely surprised by some of these negative reviews. The branch manager was every bit a gentleman and really went above and beyond to make sure that I had a nice clean car at the crack of closing. The car I got was brand new but he was somewhat apologetic for it being 'dusty' and offered me a slight discount which was not necessary at all. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and had the utmost in customer service. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

I called this location to get a rental for a customer and I spoke with Jim the manager. He gave me some rates and I thought that they were high so I questioned him. He got bothered by my questions & told me to write down the numbers that he was giving me. I was trying to figure out how they figure their prices so I asked for clarification also why their daily rates were higher than say Enterprise? Jim told me to call Enterprise & hung up on me. So I called Enterprise & got a better rate & way better customer service. Jim the manager suggested that we call Enterprise maybe you should take his advice too!

Racist. Just tried to take my boyfriend here to pick up a rental car on my way to work and had it reserved for 8:45 AM. Get there and have to wait 30 minutes for anyone to show up. When the man shows up he tries to say both his credit card and debit card declined and he couldn't rent him a car. He has thousands available on both cards. His whole energy was off and now I'm driving him to a different location and will be late for work.

Be aware of this place ! When you rent here , please save receipt an d take pictures and videos and keep it for at least 3 months or maybe more .I got charged $25 after 2 1/2 months later .I had to call the Avis to get the money back .I asked why and they said Tesla supercharge fee for no returning the car fully charged . Which I did . I told agent on the phone I took videos and pics and everything. They give me my money back .Please , take pictures and save it for you own good .

Been renting regularly at this Avis Branch and my experience with Manager AB is super pleasant. He makes it easy have documents ready so i can be out on a timely manner. I appreciate all the help AB and excellent customer service you provide. #SatisfiedRegularCustomer.

Poor service and manager there named AB is very rude. He does not explain the bill and will charge you for an entire day if you don't bring it in time during the grace period which is 20 mins. During this 20 mins he was taking care of other customers and then took my rental car for a check up drive for 10 mins while i waited for him to return. Then i missed the grace period and he charged me for an extra day. I asked him why he charged me and he blew me off and told me to call cust service.

I returned my one day rental to this AVIS location, and they were immediately charging me for a full tank of gas, even though it was given to me with less than 1/2 a tank of gas. The man behind the counter was so mean, and would not listen to anything I had to say he actually scared me and I left the location and went to the Laguna Niguel Avis to return my car. The bottom line: the total charges for my one day rental of $85 per day ended up costing me $287.70. Needless to say I will not be using AVIS for the rest of my life. Furthermore, my company of 45 people who regularly use Avis will be using another rental car company. We are severing ties with AVIS from now on. We will take our business to a company that cares, will listen, and is much less expensive

BEWARE - THIS LOCATION SCAMS! I needed a car for less than 24 hours while one of our other cars was unavailable, so I rented one from this nearby location. I literally drove the car less than 10 miles while I had it. Dropped it off the next day, no problem. Over a month later, I get a letter from Avis claiming that the car incurred front tire damage to the tune of almost $800!!! and that they'd be charging my credit card for the supposed damage. I can absolutely sure anyone reading this that I returned the car in the same condition in which I received it, and have pictures to prove it (I always take pictures when renting/returning cars, just because of scams like this). I called Avis about this supposed damage, and demanded proof that the car was returned in the condition that they claimed. The only thing that they provided my was an invoice from the place that supposedly did the repairs (which, frankly, looked like it was created in Microsoft Word in about 5 minutes). And, of course, the invoice doesn't prove anything--certainly not that I was the one that caused the alleged damage. No pictures, no report generated at the time of return, nothing. I, on the other hand, *did* take pictures of the car, as previously mentioned. After all that, Avis ended up refunding half of the charge for the alleged damage... they're still refusing to refund the other half. I'm still in the process of working with my credit company to dispute the remaining amount. Don't believe my story? Just look at all of the other reviews about scams and fraud for this location. I wish I had looked at the reviews before renting here. I've been a lifelong Avis renter, including many years of having high-level "elite" status with them. But never again after this. I'd rather pay twice as much to rent from Hertz than to ever give Avis another penny.

Generally, my experience with Avis is positive, but in this location, I experienced lack of ownership and customer obsession. During my rental I noticed that the plate number and color of my rental car doesn't match with my rental agreement. This location didn't show any ownership to resolve the problem and instead, they just asked me to keep checking different Avis locations till I find a replacement car to change their defective car. Ultimately, after hours of traveling to different airport locations, I drove from San Diego to Mission Viejo for 90 minutes to change the car. It took me another 2 hours and 20 minutes to drive back to my hotel in San Diego and basically my Saturday got ruined because of an issue that could be handled much more professional and respectful. It shouldn't take more than a couple of phone calls to properly arrange for a smooth exchange in location X at time Y, instead of asking me to randomly check Avis locations in person to resolve the problem on behalf of Avis. The car that I received as an exchange wasn't washed. Manager of the Avis at Mission Viejo asked me to wash the car and send him the bill...!!! I am an employee of a major partner of Avis and internally they consider me as a "premium" customer. I'm not saying that I am special or anything. I just want to say that if this place treats their "Premium" customers like this, I am not sure what their service looks like for individual customers.

The address is listed incorrectly. The correct one: 28201 Marguerite Pkwy Unit 13 Mission Viejo, CA 92692 United States (In the plaza with the Armed Forces Recruitment center and MANY delectable restaurants). AB, the head honcho at Avis, is professional and extremely helpful. Been going there for years and I've always left as a satisfied customer.

Stop and read the reviews on this place. These people are FRAUDULENT!! BEWARE!! I ordered enterprise through Expedia and purchased the insurance through Expedia. When I picked up the car the older sales person convinced me to buy their insurance and he said that we would be able to get our Expedia $50 refunded. Expedia has called them several times to verify that we have not used the insurance and that we used theirs instead, but he never answers the phone!! I made a special trip in there today and explained the issue and he yelled at me stating that he cannot always be at the phone. Who yells at their customer? And besides when I returned the car three weeks back it was raining all day. When I brought the keys inside he told me to go back out and get the mileage for him in the rain. Again who in the hell does this?? Needless to say, I will never go back to this location or rent from budget again. When I called the customer support number to complain about him. They said a supervisor would call me back immediately. And as of now no phone call. Let's see if budget/Avis stays in business!

Terrible. I rented a vehicle through them and when I went to return the vehicle nobody was at the front desk. I was instructed earlier by the man at the counter to drop the car keys in through the Dropbox at the front door if this were to happen. He said he's often out cleaning the cars and refueling them. Come a week after I dropped off the car, I get a statement charging me for tolls that were made 2 hours AFTER I RETURNED THE CAR. To make it worse, the guy at the counter didn't even mark the car as returned until over 2 hours after I dropped off the keys. Terrible terrible terrible. Avis customer service is of no help therefore I'm looking into filing a credit card dispute or a lawsuit. NEVER RENT FROM HERE!
