This place is so cool of you are a Pokemon fan. Went looking for a gift and found some great singles. They have some graded cards too, but lots of boxes and packs for all the recent generations. Kevin was super helpful and gave me suggestions on what to get. He was really knowledgeable and friendly. The cards are reasonable price, some even less than you would pay at a big box store or GameStop. We will definitely be back.

I would think twice about attempting to sell them cards. I've been there three times now. The first time I sold them some cards, got my check and everything was fine. The second time the guy helping me seemed annoyed that I had a bunch of yugioh commons but still proceeded to look through them. He pulled out out a bunch and offered me a dollar for the whole stack! I accepted the offer because he said that they could use them for their back stock. I then sold the rest on eBay for 56x his offer. This third time today the same guy accused me of bringing the same box of cards that I brought in previously and basically dismissed all the cards that I had and offered me a quarter for one of them. I told him these were different cards and his response was "then just keep bringing different cards then"! One of the other employees apologized to me everyone else actually seems very nice there with the exception of the one guy. So watch out for the one with the sourpuss!

Came in on a Friday night (tonight). The employee who helped me with a beanie was not very friendly and slightly rude. When I asked for a receipt he said they don't offer one for cash, apparently. Seems shady. Spent around fifty dollars. For all of the above, I probably won't be back.

Selection is usually pretty good. Pokémon, magic, lorcana. Singles and boosters. Staff is rude and act like they're doing you a favor when they do their jobs. Tables are claustrophobic, the vibe is unwelcoming. Not my fave TCG store in the area but they can't be beaten for singles selection.

I came in the other day to try to get a gift for my boyfriend for his birthday. I don't really know anything about pokémon and all that so I just asked someone to help me. I was greeted and helped by Ian and he was super knowledgable and friendly! He helped me pick out the perfect gift without making me feel like I was pressured into spending lot of money. My boyfriend ended up loving the gift!

Magic and Monsters is awesome!!! I am a lifelong Magic the Gathering player and the community that this shop has developed is special. I love coming in to pick up some cards from their nice selection of competitively priced inventory and then sitting down to play a few games with whoever is hanging out. It's the best... The nice folks that work there (Cameron, Brian, Alex, Ian and Tyler) will help you out quickly and efficiently. If you haven't been to this shop yet, go check it out. It represents what an LGS should be...

Let me start out with I've been a regular goer at this shop for the past 3 or 4 year. This place is my "Cheers," my Friday night retreat. Magic and Monsters is a fantastic space with fantastic staff. Brian, Ian, Tyler, Cameron and Alex all do a wonderful job helping make sure every customer is as happy as they can be with their service and transactions and are always willing to help out to the best of their abilities, however they can. The store has a gigantic selection of sealed product and singles for many TCG's such as Magic, Pokémon, YuGiOh, One Piece and a few others. Everything is shop is priced fairly to match current market prices and they always check to make sure they're charging fair prices for their singles. Finally the play space is always open and everyone from youth to adult is welcome to come in, sit down and find someone to play a game with. I've been to plenty card shops and am beyond glad that I can call Magic and Monsters my Local Games Store.

Wow, Magic and Monsters has been a south county staple for as long as I can remember! I have been visiting this shop for just over 10 years. They have always had excellent customer service, competitive card values, and knowledgeable and most importantly KIND staff. Brian and Tyler always facilitate excellent yugioh days and make the place seem like a second home. You won't find a better shop to play, buy, or just hang out and play your favorite table top game.

My son (6) who is just getting into Pokémon, and I visited this store for the second time today. Our first time we purchased a couple cards from their display case and the battle academy game. He asked the guy who was helping us how to play Pokémon and he offered to have an employee teach him on another day for free. I called last week and set it up for today and Tyler sat there with us for over two hours and taught the both of us how to play. He was very engaged with my son, and super patient while he was counting on his fingers how much hp he had left and reading this instructions. We ended up purchasing two decks of cards and some sleeves so we can play together at home. If you have a little one who is interested in playing, I definitely would recommend this shop!

*11/3 today I spoke with one of the owners. The owner and I had a great conversation. We had the conversation I was hoping to have in the beginning. I'll be returning to M&M to shop and play.* I've been a customer at magic and monsters since 2019. I've had some good and not so good experiences. I like their website. They have an excellent selection of Magic singles and the website, while very outdated, is pretty easy to use to purchase singles from home. Prices are fair, too. Last week I placed an order on their site. A few days later I wanted to place another order and I knew I had the first order to pick up. I placed the first order as a guest and I didn't have access to the list of cards I ordered to begin with. I knew it wasn't much, probably like 10-12 cards. When you place an online order with them, they print out an invoice to double check it. Well, a few days after I called the store to verify the original order was available. The employee who answered the phone verified it was ready. I then told the employee I wanted to place another order, but I wasn't sure what cards I originally ordered. This was at 2:53pm. I told him I knew he was busy, but I asked politely if it were possible for him or someone to snap a photo of the invoice of my original and text it to me so I didn't double order. I knew it would be 1 sheet to snap a photo of and text and would likely take no more than 45 seconds of his day. His response "nah, we're really busy". I then asked "I know you guys are, but maybe in the next hour or so?" His response "nah, we have a lot going on." I just said thanks and I hung up. I also then immediately thought "I'm never shopping with these people again." The original order was roughly $80 and the second would've been $300+. The next day I went to store to pick up my order and I asked if the employee working could take my name and number and pass it to the owner so I could speak with him about the experience. I know one of the owners by name. I gave the employee a decent tip for assisting and he said he would. 2 days later and I still hadn't heard anything. Irritated, I called back. This time animated and I do admit, much more fiery. The employee I spoke to was cooperative and very polite. I asked once again to get in touch with the owner. I get a call from the owner like 3 minutes later. I explain the situation. I tell him the original employee cost the store $300+ and possibly more. I also let him know I don't want anyone to get in trouble for this. His response "oh someone is going to get in trouble for this." Ok, thanks for dismissing me. The owner listened to me, acknowledges they have issues with customer service and says he'll handle it. He does nothing to secure my future business. Let's me go abruptly. I wasn't looking for anything free. As a small business owner, I know you have to take care of angry customers who are unhappy with your business. If the owner would've offered me something, I not only would've told him to take whatever he offered me and give it to the employee who dismissed me originally, but I would still be a customer and play there. I'd rather turn the experience into a positive one for the employee who dismissed me than profit. Once again I was dismissed. I call the store back and I thank the employee who I spoke to minutes ago. I tell him "I doubt I'll ever shop there or play there again, but if I do and you're there, I'll say what's up. Thank you". I get a text from the owner a few minutes after asking me what time the original phone call took place. I tell him. Then I compliment the employee who helped me get in touch with the owner. I never heard back. This was 4 days ago. M&M has a great selection and solid website for singles. What they don't have is an owner who prioritizes customer service and repeat customers. Their customer service has always been rough but I dealt with it. The employees nev

I love this place, always fair and transparent buyer of cards. A friendly scene and a great place to learn or come by for a quick pickup game.

Not sure what's up with all the bad reviews, but this place is great compared to every other card shop I've been to. Pretty much always busy with shoppers, browsers, or players, as well as one of the very few places that will price out cards based on current value instead of going off the sticker they put on the sleeve who knows how long ago. All the staff is super helpful and patient (especially with my kids) and always takes the time to answer the plethora of questions they have. The Pokémon guy (Tyler) really knows his stuff and always asks us how are sets are coming along and what cards we still need. It's great having a shop to go to and talk & trade with other people in the hobby. Internet may be easier but nothing beats going to a brick and mortar shop, and M&M is the place to go!!!

Cool place. Horrible service. Dude who wears beanies ignores customers. Doesn't even acknowledge you're talking to him. While you're spending hundreds. Not sure why he works there. This isn't the first time. Read the reviews. Today a Funny guy said dad joke in front of his kids and dude just ignored him lmaoo.
