The SDCCU’s manager at 23982 Alicia Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA 92691 is really something else. Doesn’t deserve to be in banking industry. Her Assistant Alex has more common sense. It’s very disappointing. I have trouble log into my account online and cannot get any assistance over the phone. The call center is refringe me to the branch to verify my ID to get a payoff on my loan.Which I Never heard before.I had to leave my work and drive 1 hour and 25 minutes to get a payoff.SDCCu doesn’t have anyone who you can file a complaint with.Their customer service sucks. They are not even close to be number one credit union in Southern California.Do not use SDCCU specially in Southern part of Orange County, California.Use other credit union like “orange county credit union” or others for all matters. Better customer service and smarter employees.

Waited for the Angels Mickey Moniak signing from 11-12. Got in line at 10:30. Was told at 11:50 that Mickey was done signing. What genius decided to wait til then to tell the 100 people in line that the event was over? No announcement or anything. No sorry at all. Trash credit union. How about some foldable EZ ups for shade? Spring for some ice water? The event was beyond cheap. Take your money and go to a different credit union.

Guys i came to moniak autograph event and waited outside for more than 1hr sweating under really hot weather with my little boy then you ended before my line at 11:50am. You guys were supposed to do this event until 12:00 then why you all of sudden cut this off? Very poorly managed event and i felt suck on this. Poor my little boy. There were tons waiting behind us. You guys should have informed in advance so people didnt waste their time and energy. Very frustrating. Lots of people were there with babies and kids.

The staff here is helpful and polite, the manager Rachel supports all her staff in the best way, running behind them asking if they need anything during a rush- her and this team are amazing I will never bank anywhere else!!

My experience here was very pleasant. Rachel was very kind and helpful. Although I came there because of a frustrating situation at a dealership. She was patient and very informative. I wasn't even a member when I walked in but they definitely made a bad day a little better with their excellenct customer service.

Kind, helpful and sweet staff, new branch & not many open. The only issues I had was their mask style/type requirement. I have used my mask for over a year everywhere and never had issues anywhere. It's like a full face mask without the eyes because of glasses and breathing complications (I don't wanna faint), they don't have drive thru for Handycap either. I have to walk inside. I guess their windows and mask are not good enough. Therefore, I give 3 stars. So far good service as they open back for business. I hope next time I feel welcomed instead of constanconfronted.

This "credit union" totally screwed my credit for no good reason!!. I stopped using my checking account in march due to moving out of the area and switching to another bank. I forgot to close the account. Unbeknownst to me, I accidentally selected my sdccu checking account to make a payment on a credit card. This put my account in the negative. I had no idea and was never called about it. The only correspondence I recieved was an email about an "e notice" from sdccu, which I ignored because i figured it was regarding a statement being available or something innocuous. They didn't bother to give me a curtesy before reporting the collection to the credit bureaus, dinging my flawless credit report. My fico score went from 780 to 646. My plans to purchase a home are severely impacted now. I thought credit unions were supposed to be member owned and consumer friendly; not this one! I found out about the overdraft completely by chance, i thought i had a small positive balance in the account so i logged in to transfer it out and close the account. By that time, they had already closed my account and i was unable to pay it online. I called in and they informed me i would have to mail the balance or come in person to pay it. I happened to be back in California temporarily for work so i planned on going on the weekend to the branch to pay it off. Before i made it there it had already hit my credit!!! This is so disappointing that SDCCU made no effort to inform me of this tiny $220 debt before seriously screwing up my life. Who knows how many tens of thousands of dollars this will cost me interest in the future, if i can even qualify for financing now...

Avoid using SDCCU. This has been by far the worst banking experience I've ever had. I only have an account with SDCCU because this was the bank of choice at the car dealership where I purchased my car. Due to a medical exemption, I was treated very poorly. The staff and branch manager were cold and not accommodating. My lender cut a check and abbreviated part of the bank name and they would not accept it. They wouldn't even take the to call the lender to clear the check. This happened twice in one week. The third visit to the bank resulted in the same frustrating experience.

Been with this credit union for over 12 years. Went it to get a cashier's check had cash that I previously withdrew. Clerk could not do it and had to go to the guy in charge. Said he had to deposit the funds and then withdraw them to make the cashier's check. Made no sense to me and I did not want to show the amount going into to my account twice for tax purposes, but agreed grudgingly. About a half hour later the clerk still trying to complete the transaction, profusely apologizing. After over a half hour trying to complete this simple transaction I left frustrated to go to another branch to my ake the transaction. Similar experience with previous visit. Will never come back.

It is so unfortunate that you can not give a minus 10 stars. I've been a loyal member of the San Diego County Credit Union for well over 22 years, with no complaints, until now. It seems that SDCCU has a new policy in place to screw their very loyal customers. 5 Years ago my late wife and I consolidated all of our loans and took out a 5 year ARM, with the thought that when the 5 years of the ARM was up, the loan would revert to the current home loan interest rate. Unfortunately it does not. It was tired to some phony Gvt. rate and the new rate, (after 5 years) is almost twice what the current going rate for a home loan is today. Not to worry, I received in the mail "Pay $0 Closing Costs, 5/5 Adjustable Rate Mortgage Loan". Unfortunately this offer is for "NEW" customers only. The cost for a loyal 22 plus year customer to refinance their home loan is approximately $6,000.00 to $8,000.00. That just goes to show that they don't really give a dam about their current loyal customers. You can bet that I will be taking "ALL" of my banking business to a new place that values loyal customers.

LouAnn and Marc helped me to open an account at their branch. I received top notch service and the entire process took less than 15 minutes. I am very impressed with the bank and its staff.
