Clarissa was great!! I had an awful experience where a tech from another location waxed off a good portion of my inner eyebrow leaving the gap too big between my eyebrows!! I grew my eyebrows out for the past 7 months and was having too much anxiety about getting them done again. Plus COVID-19. Clarissa was great and they look great! Everything is sanitized and clean. She wore a face shield on top of her mask. She washed her hands first. And the best part is my eyebrows look great

I had been looking for a stylist to color my hair and had the amazing pleasure of booking an appointment with Ana. She is absolutely a doll. Very professional, listens to her client and keeps you involved in the process the entire way. This is key especially when doing color and highlights. Ana did an amazing job and I would highly recommend her. Down side is Ulta up charges for everything so no haircut is included with color which is very rare. Everything is an add on so you can easily exceed 200.00 in one appointment. Ulta should consider bundling services this would avoid ticket shock at the end and would allow clients too better prepare. I have to imagine this way of pricing may impact the stylist tips because the price they quote is really not the price you pay, so if your not prepared you may not have enough money at the end of the visit. Just a suggestion for a better customer experience. Despite this I am happy with my end result and Ana is incredible- ask for her and when making an appointment and planning on cost just plan for add on charges so you can tip your stylist. They work hard and do amazing work and definitely deserve it. Also, you have to ask to leave the tip you don't get the option when checking out unless you ask. Thank you Ana!!

I went in to buy a couple of things and the security was following us around the whole time around the whole store. Finally got what I needed went to pay and asked for a gift receipt (which I forgot to ask prior to cashier finish scanning ) and cashier was rude and stated I should of asked for it before and it would take a while. I said it was fine just to leave it she didn't have to be so rude they act like their working for free. I wish it gave an option to put 0/5 stars.

Terrible service, slow and not knowledgeable. Long lines with not enough checkers and they are poorly trained. 30 minutes in line is rediculous with all the associates wandering around chatting with each other. I'll be going to Sephora any time one is available.

Went to look for face wash and the weirdo girls that work there treat you like you're going to steal something. Sorry I don't want to spend 30$ on the face wash you recommended to me. Stop making people uncomfortable while they shop, weirdos.

Cece is the best! Was so helpful. Made shopping for makeup super easy. There were some issues I was facing and Cece was so accommodating and helpful. I probably won't shop at Sephora anymore. Just come to ulta and cece will help me. So thankful for great customer service.

would never ever go to the salon here! I took off 6 inches and had the worst post experience.. very uneven - choppy - frayed ends since a razor was used- (with Patti) She is very nice and easy to talk to. A month later I was able to get in with my professional hair stylist who fixed it & agreed its was not good! However some pieces are layered frayed so much I just have to wait for them to grow! Will never go to any ulta salon! They just don't have enough experience! Once I called to express my feelings the salon manager was never there. 2 weeks later I got a message that I can come in to get it fixed but was frightened it'd just be worse and worse. Did not go in!!

So, a little update. I got my makeup done again last week for my cousin's wedding but not by Shayla. The staff told me that Shayla does not work there anymore, which is quite a shame. She was amazing. I was kinda sad that she doesn't work there anymore (Shayla, if you're reading this girlie, I miss you and I hope everything is well with you). So, I ended up getting my makeup done by a woman named Patty. She was awesome. I had a great experience with her just as I did with Shayla. She paid attention to how I wanted my makeup done and she made me look like a queen!! I was so obsessed with it! It was another makeup look done by another great artist that this Ulta store, that I want to keep coming back. I definitely recommend you getting your makeup done here at this location because they have really talented makeup artists. Patty was amazing and I think she's really sweet!

Have you met Amelia? She is the licensed skin therapist at the Ulta in Modesto, CA. She offers a range of skin treatments ranging from a $10, 10-minute treatment to full 90 minute luxury facials. On Saturday the 15th I went to ulta around 7. It was pretty busy and only 1 person on the register checking customers out. I'm a frequent shopper and I know how long the lines can get. But Cici was awesome she helped everyone in a timely matter. She made a great suggestion for me to buy a different size of the product I was about to purchase. She went into detail about the product and really knew about skincare! Thanks for the help!

Worse customer service area. I made a few hair and makeup appts almost 2 months in advance for a wedding. Over the phone I was told $40-$60 for hair and $45 for makeup with lashes. When I got there with the day of the wedding for my appt I was being told something totally different. They wanted to charge $80 for my hair and $60 for makeup plus $10 to apply my own false eyelashes I bought. When I told them the prices I was given they didn't apologize for the mixup or even try to accommodate us. When I stated the reps who answer the phone need to make sure correct prices and information is given one of the employees said that's our standard. Standard to lie? I'll never work with this place again.

This store has the best customer service by far! If you call on the phone looking for a product, they are more than happy to help. If you need to return/exchange, they are extremely kind and try to find out what went wrong with the product! If they are out of an item, they will help you by checking other stores or ordering online. There is always someone willing to help you find what you need and color match you! I go here at least twice a month and will continue to go back! Thank you guys for always being amazing!!

I laughed when I saw my coworrker at ulta shopping the other day and she said "I feel like the employees here hate me" and I said ME TOO! ... sounds like it must be in the air here but the employees here are unbearable, they're rude and have no customer service skills. To top it off there's always a LONG line, if you can go to Sephora or Target

Ulta Salons now offers a new service tape-in Extentions!I cannot say enough about the quality of the product the quickness and professionalism of the service itself I went in a few days prior had a consultation with hair specialist Yovana we went over what my options were and I think she really steered me in the right direction my hair came out fantastic Yovana did a great job I'm definitely going to be a return customer the work was excellent matching the color to my natural hair was fantastic !unbelievable how great my hair came out! Yovana is my stylist!!!! My only complaint is Ulta charges way too much for the the service of applying the extensions I think they're on point with the price of the extensions themselves but to actually put them on they charge way too much! Went back a few days later for beach waves and of course they came out great! So to recap buy your hair here...

Product selection is great. It's the staff/estheticians I've a problem with. At both Modesto locations I've made and they have confirmed appointments. I arrived on time, sat for 20 minutes at the Riverbank location only to be told no one available as esthetician took wrong schedule home. Sisk Rd location told me I didn't leave phone number so the couldn't call to tell me esthetician wasn't in. As I started to tell staff that they did have number as they had called to confirm, she just walked away. Two strikes rule for me.
