César E. Chávez Park is a relatively nice area. The park is under construction, with a new playground and skateboard area being built. It has a simple playground with a tube slide and swing set, and a picnic area with concrete tables and benches. The park is fairly dog-friendly, but the bathrooms are always locked. The park is considered safe for kids and is a good place to hang out and relax. It is a friendly neighborhood park, but some areas are currently under construction. The park hopes to stay a safe and fun place for kids to play.
This is a park where we feed the homeless, I'm a Pastor and we feed every 3rd Saturday.

Bathrooms were locked otherwise a chill place. A lot of homeless were hanging around but didn't bother anyone.

One of the only parks left in west Modesto that's safe for kids were u don't see homeless sitting around smoking fentanyl let's hope it stays that way ! Cuz i like this park
