My entire experience with CarMax was excellent. I was welcomed almost immediately, and the process moved forward smoothly from start to finish. All of my questions were answered thoughtfully, and the customer service team consistently provided additional, helpful information—even before I asked. Every department I interacted with was pleasant, professional, and supportive.
At no point did I feel rushed or uncertain about my decision. I did have a couple of concerns with my new vehicle, but they were promptly inspected and scheduled for repair without any hassle. Overall, I felt very confident in both my purchase and my decision to choose CarMax. I highly recommend them.

Came in to get an appraisal on my car around 6ish. Was extremely hard just to even make the decision to get an appraisal for my car because its hard to get rid of something you love and take good care of but when i got there they just didnt make me feel welcomed at all. And When asking questions discussing certain things after the appraisal just seemed like I was bugging them. I Didnt take the offer just walked out. Whole process wasn't too great or welcoming at all.

I loved my experience! I was greeted at the desk. I was well taken care of. I was comfortable and my salesperson was so friendly. I felt safe and relaxed to purchase the car, which was my main concern.

Bobby was polite and helpful
But the car I ended up with is turning out to be bummer , a headlight has already gone out, the usb plug in doesn’t work and the air conditioning vents don’t even hit the driver or the backseat not to mention it’s not very cold ! So

Fantastic buying experience. Was able to communicate nearly 100% by text, limiting time needed to be spent at the dealer to a minimum. Service from sales was excellent, low pressure and friendly.

Had a really great experience from the time we walked into the facility.. Bobby was our sales rep & he was sooo amazing to work with, he answered and explained everything me and my husband asked and needed to know without hesitation and it was just a wonderful and We got our car! It was such an easy and non stressful experience

Terrible service here!!! Just to test drive a car you have to wait at least an hr, while their staff sit around and talk with each other. We even had an appointment and still had to wait an hr. Im going to Roberts auto sales.

The staff at CarMax Modesto are excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Trying to call, however is so frustrating...getting handed off over and over. They were very nice, only doing their job, but extremely frustrating talking to 4 different people each time I called.
