This Costco off Pelandale rd in Modesto ca has a lot of rude employees throughout the years my family and I have had some bad experiences and mangers don't do anything about it one time my mother was trying to explain something and the employee told her to speak English that she was in America this time my mom tried to do separate transactions and the employee was saying she couldn't do that and that it was part of the Costco contract when you become a member? How if my mother has done it for the past 10years like what if she has a business account and a personal one and she needs separate transactions they're so rude that my mother Spanish speaker hates going alone because every time she has had a bad experience.

One of the busiest Costcos, but the customer service is unmatched. I had called the food court the day before I was planning on picking up 12 pizzas for my party. When I arrived at the time I had said I was going to pick up my order, I found out my order had disappeared. I started worrying, but when I tell you the devil works hard but the Costco food court employees work harder, I mean it. They got my 12 pizzas within minutes when I fully expected to wait for a much longer time. They made the moment right and I really appreciated it!

I need to give a shout out to a couple of Costco employees. My husband and I went in looking for a certain vitamin and they moved it. We asked for help asking Suzanne if she knew where it went. She totally went out of her way, searching, then went to the computer and discovered that there were seven of them in the store still but nobody could find them anywhere.. she spent so much time with us and we told her thank you for the help and we would come back in a couple of days and lo and behold, there was the vitamin back in it's normal spot..Next visit, I went to the helpdesk. I was downloading the app and trying to do the face recognition, It said my IDs were wrong. . A young lady name Marcella was happy to help us was iPhone knowledgeable and spent 30 minutes with us, making it work on my phone and my husbands phone and laughing and joking along the way . This young lady set us both up wonderfully and showed us some tips.All my years shopping at Costco and I've been a member since they opened in 1986 thank you , never have I ever had such a wonderful service by not one but 2 employees a week apart.Thank you to whoever hired these two ladies.

I'm so sad I literally live minutes away from this Costco but I'm probably gonna start traveling to either Turlock or Manteca because the customer service at the membership counter is so bad, actually I have not received good customer service anywhere within this store, I called management on a incident that happened, I still see that person there at membership acting the same , these people are busy but that's no reason to treat the customers bad , customer service not acceptable...... I'm also a disabled senior person, I know losing me as a customer won't cause them any harm, But is corporate really ok with this

I came to Costco to purchase eyeglasses and was assisted by a woman I believe her name was "Coreen" and let me tell you her customer service was AMAZING! She definitely went above and beyond to help me with getting the perfect glasses. The store was incredibly busy the day that I went and I did all my shopping before going to the optical department. She noticed that I had so much stuff and called another employee to take our carts into the freezer so none of our items would perish. We spent a good amount of time together and she was all around amazing. I definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking to get glasses at Costco. She's very friendly and super professional and takes her time with you and listens to every question and concern you have. I can't wait for my three pair of glasses to come in just so I can go back to her. Costco give this lady a raise!!

Average-sized warehouse with an extremely busy parking lot in a centrally located plaza. Surprised that several items which are seasonal or have disappeared from Bay Area Costcos are regularly available here. Some people say Flan is only in Costco Mexico but it's a staple in Central Valley Costco Bakeries and also at my local Bay Area warehouse in South San Francisco.Smitten by the many tequila and mezcal options in Modesto. Several great items on clearance, as noted by the asterisk in the upper right indicating a Pending Delete, with markdown prices ending in $.97. Overall, I brought home some fantastic souvenirs. But...Minus 3 stars bc I'm REPULSED that a Costco Modesto employee at the Returns counter accepted someone's USED UGG's with actual P*** on the soles and then put them on the floor to resell at full price $99.99?! See my included pics. Let this be a warning: if you see an online-only pair of shoes on the floor, be really cautious opening up that box. There's a likely probability that they have been used and worn and you might even touch some unknown doodoo. I had to abandon my cart and immediately wash my hands after that literal shet.

Costco is still our most frequented shopping spot. We just recently purchased our entire set of kitchen appliances, z-line. Today we went to get some fish for lent and it was amazing, 4 whole tilapias for under $20. Everything from the oil, chips, tortillas, beans, rice, and the sodas where all purchases there. We are Costco people all the way......

Be extremely aware not every thing you find at Costco is a better deal. I found multiple items that were more expensive than any other local grocery store. Lastly the Tire Center, I bought a set of Michelin tires and two days later while searching Amazon Web store I found the same exact tires for $30 less each tire. Don't go buy at Costco thinking you're saving money just because you do pay a hefty membership of an always crowded store. Probably cheaper gas is all I can see as a benefit.

I stopped at the Modesto location because I was running errands here in town.. I am extremely disappointed with every aspect of this Costco.. The customer service is horrible every employee I came across was very unprofessional and rude I came across moldy food, the store was not as clean as it usually is .. I was really surprised. I believe I will just stick with Turlock for now on ..

Costco is amazing to find good deal in a bulk type setting. We buy our dog food there and multiple other things. Highly recommend Costco.
