I've used these guys in the past and had decent results. Recently downsized from a full audiophile system to Sonos Arc and Sonos sub with new flatscreen tv. Called Custom Tv & Stereo to set an appointment to ensure proper install and discreet wiring. Spoke to the installer who told me he would check the schedule and call me back; but he was fairly certain he could get to my install, Friday 1/19. He said he would call me to confirm. The guy never called me back. I prepped everything expecting him to call Friday. Removed flat screen, pulled all speakers, amps, etc, believing he probably just forgot to message me back. Friday arrives and still no call/ text. In frustration I decided to get ahead of the work and hung the new flatscreen solo. 8pm Friday night I text the guy and inquired about an appointment. He apologized and said he thought he could get to me that day but his crew ran into some complications at another job. I'm a business man and know things happen but a phone call would have been nice and professional. I can't run my business this way. I wouldn't be in business long lol. I'm now stuck attempting to find someone to finish this up on a Saturday before flying out for work on Monday. Thanks man. You really screwed me

I got the Sony 65" 4K UHD TV with delivery and setting up my home theater system in 2020.These people are personable, know their products, and communicate exceedingly well. They have mid to high range electronics.They make sure that you have the right equipment to fit YOUR requirements.My wife and I are still enjoying our purchase and doing business with them in the future.

Gil and Craig were extremely helpful in selecting new tv's and discussion installation (wall mounts and wiring). We ended up purchasing our TVs and setting up installation. The Installation guys were great, very helpful and did a great job. We will definitely work with Custom TV & Stereo again.

We've been dealing with Custom Stereo for 20 years. They installed our original whole-house stereo and movie theatre. Technology changes fast forward and our movie theatre needed updating. We did research to see what was required. We sought out bids and sadly some competition was overselling by thousands of dollars (equipment padded and things we just didn't need.) I lost faith quickly. They were going to charge for "screwdrivers and drop clothes...HDMI cables (5) we didn't need on and on with extenders - we didn't need. Craig was a straight-shooter gave us exactly what we needed and saved us thousands of dollars. The system is superb and state-of-the art. The system couldn't possibly be any better. No hassles, no padding...check him out, you won't be disappointed.

I have been using Custom Tv & Stereo to update big screen TVs in my home and install stereo equipment for at least 10 years now. This year I had them update my internet WiFi system in my home which increased my WiFi signal throughout my home. Can't state enough how knowledgeable and how great they are in recommending the latest and greatest technology for your home. I was new to the area and needed a projector and ceiling speakers installed. I went to the internet and based on previous reviews of other customers called Custom TV & Stereo and set up an appointment for an estimate. Craig was on time and gave a very fair estimate. I excepted the estimate and we set a date for installation. On the day of installation the two installers were on time. They were very neat and courteous. I am very happy with the installation and highly recommend Custom TV & Stereo. Jerry O

They are so helpful with any tv or stereo issues you may have. The install team is very professional and do a great job! A special shout out to Gil who spent an hour on the phone with us on a Saturday to help us through some unusual issues with our tv and receiver. He has tremendous patience and worked it all out. We were able to watch tv again. Very thankful for their wisdom with electronics!!!

I have worked with Gil and Craig and their crew for several years now, and looking back on my old review I am not sure what I was talking about. Every time they send guys out for work they are the same local guys. I think its possible that they are just busy! I appreciate the expertise they offer, and when they can they will try to save me a buck. Good dudes and gals

I have used Custom TV & Stereo on two occasions. The first instance was in my back yard in which they connected a television and stereo. They use quality equipment and whether I'm listening to music, watching the UFC or other sporting events the entire back yard can enjoy it. The second instance was a much more complex job. An entire room had to be renovated before they could start. They recommended a first class contractor that was clean, diligent and a great craftsman. An 85" television had to be installed with surround sound. Security camera wire, cables for a very active server and a host of other internet wires had to be moved to an entirely different location all while 4 people were working in a real estate office next door and they did so seamlessly. The cables used to occupy a five foot area and they organized them into a one foot area in a different location. The learning curve on the new equipment which involved 5G and smart phone controls for all of the equipment required a few visits which they had no problem doing. They also took calls on a Saturday night. There is no one you should contact in Stanislaus County for a Home Entertainment system than Custom TV and Stereo and you will be sure you will receive top notch work by honest and wholesome gentlemen.

I've utilized Custom TV & Stereo for my home and business A/V needs for over 15 years. They can match (and many times beat) big box store prices. However, this is not your bargain basement outlet store. This company is where you go when you want high quality installation of their high fidelity A/V equipment. Anyone can sell a TV or amplifier. How they integrate into your home after the installation is another matter entirely. Their installation crew has been the same individuals for over 20 years, meaning, adults taking their time and doing it right the first time. If you're looking for a cheap TV and you don't care about picture quality/sound, go to Costco or Walmart as this place won't make you happy. However, if you enjoy the experience of a well designed A/V system, Modesto Custom TV & Stereo is the only choice for you.
