Your experience here will be greatly affected by the crew that gets selected to do your job. In our case, it was pretty miserable. We purchased flooring for the downstairs of our house, about 1100sqft total. It was a living room, kitchen, dining, and formal dining. Nothing crazy, nothing unusual. Square rooms, no stairs. The material was backordered, no big deal, but it did push the install back. Again, not a problem, since it was the manufacturer that was backordered. The day finally came to get the floor installed, and were told the installer would call us to drop off the material to acclimate to the house. We rented a pod, and emptied out the house to prepare. The day comes and goes...no call, no show from the installer. I call the store, and they contact the installer and he said he was tied up with another job. OK...call would have been nice. This was Nov 10th. Monday rolls around, and they drop off the material, but tell me it needs 7 days to acclimate. No one had checked the material, so no we're pushed back a few more days. Luckily, I work from home, so this was not a massive problem. Should be done by Thanksgiving they say. Install gets started, and the crew shows up around 10am every day. The install is going incredibly slowly....it takes until after Thanksgiving to get half the living room and entry way done. Two weeks in, we have half a room done, and I notice they had installed row after row of small 1-2 foot pieces. They didn't mix the short pieces in during the initial install of the room, so when they got to the middle, they just installed all of the short pieces, one after another, with no long or medium pieces mixed in. The installer tells me that's how the boxes come, and it's totally normal. Yeah... I took some photos, sent them in to the office, escalate to the regional manager, and he tells them to take it out and do it again. However...the material is on backorder....so they order more. Now we're into December, and they are demoing the bad section, and continuing the install. Fast forward another week, and I notice a gap in the flooring that exposed the unstained tongue of the planks. It was about the width of a nickel, and about 8ft long. The planks had not been knocked into place, leaving a nice gap. Another call, another escalation, and another tear out. The installed tried to convince me he could just fill the gap, and it was totally normal...but we spent 22k on this floor, and a quick fix was not something I was interested in. The sales rep came out to look at it, and I mentioned they would likely need to order more. The installer said they had enough. We're still waiting on the first re-order of material at this point, and it's nearing Christmas. As expected, we run out of material, and work stops. I do a quick measure, and realize they will not have enough, even with the new material coming in, because they now have to tear out the gapped area. Call the sales guy, and tell him how much is on order, how much needs to get taken out, and how much is left to do. He finally agrees to order more material. Christmas comes and goes, and the floor is not done. Remember, this started on 10 Nov...a simple 1100 sqft install. Now it's January...the material all arrives, they finish, and use up almost everything. Had I not pestered the sales guy about ordering more, we'd probably still be waiting on another box. They finish the install on Jan 5, and my family and I rush to get the Pod empty so there's not another month's charge on it. However....it does not stop there. When they were completed, there was still tape on the threshold to the bathroom. The installer told me to leave it there for 24 hours to let the glue set. The next day, I take the tape off, and there's dried glue oozing out from the threshold, it's raised on one end, and crooked in the doorframe. Call to get this fixed...and we get a different installer to come out and fix it on 25 Jan. Total time for the job....76 days. If it's done. We have spots in the floor that make

This review is for Diana who worked with us to get an amazing price on the floors we wanted which are top quality Monarch engineered hardwood floors. Made in California and known to be of the highest possible quality. Resist the urge to go to floor places that seem cheaper but give no customer service and don't work with you on price. Thank you Diana i will recommend you to all of our friends/real estate agents in California.

While the store is nice and has the most to choose from the customer service at the store was mediocre at best. They're entirely too concerned with who should be talking to who and what desk you should sit at which I assume can only be because of commission work. After the install, they forgot to collect payment and followed up with two phone messages. After my wife and I called no less than a combined 5 times to make payment (calls went unanswered) we stopped trying to run them down. Well, they sent a certified demand for payment which is comical because we had been trying to pay them for weeks. I would suggest they reexamine their policies and procedures before that ridiculous step which sealed their fate for this review.

I'm giving this location three stars based on their large selection. They lose two stars based on customer service. This location is fairly large and there is a lot to choose from between flooring, cabinets & countertops. If you are in the market for remodeling, chances are you will find something you like here. For the bad: When we walked into the store, the gentleman behind the counter did not acknowledge us at all. Lucky for us, we were just looking at their flooring options and did not specifically need help at the time. however, a simple hi would have professional. We were in the store for a total of about 30 minutes. There was one other time an employee walked past us and did not acknowledge us to inquire if we needed assistance. We ended up not finding the specific floor tile we wanted. As we walked past the sales counter on the way out we were not acknowledged again. Bottom line: If you need help, you will need to go look for it.

Worst customer experience possible!! Website and sales personnel lie about shipping lead time was told would take 3 days to ship ended up taking 3 weeks. Then wanted me to pay them to return material. Thats right not give me my money back but pay them to take it back. Absolutely will never use this company again we are a high volume contractor and would recommend anyone else u could find this place won't take care of you they will take advantage of you.

We’ve bought many items for multiple houses from Flooring Liquidators at the Mariposa location and Merced location. The location on McHenry in Modesto is absolutely horrible. They made me feel un-welcomed. I was looking for the moldings for the cabinets and the man at the front desk sent me to the back desk and I waited there for 10 minutes, UNGREETED. When the man there finally decided to see what I needed he said “I’m going to be with this gentleman for a while, he had an appointment and that someone could help me in the front” I went back to the front and still no help and so I left without getting what I came for. I am now heading to the Merced location instead.P.S. You are not going to find me in your system by my name due to it being under a company name/my dad’s name.

I want to share about my great experience getting carpet at Flooring Liquidators on Mchenry ave in Modesto, CA. There were so many people that helped me along. My Moms house was finally empty & we needed to put it on the market ASAP. Dezeray spent a lot of time in the showroom giving me different ideas & price ranges. Then the estimator Hemdi, was very helpful giving me different costs for different ways we could go in flooring ideas. He could probably see that I was overwhelmed so he helped with carpet color ideas, too. Then I went to the store to pay. Jen heard my urgent flooring concerns & got us scheduled for a whole house of carpet very very quickly. She definitely gave me stellar customer service. Juan was very friendly with payment & helping us put it all together. Because of all of their teamwork we got beautiful carpet & the house got on the market very quickly. So I highly recommend Flooring liquid ators. I am very thankful for this very impressive group that gave great customer service to me.

Installation turned out great but the salesman Jim prichard is a snake and a liar. Waited until after the job was complete to try and over charge for labor. Also tried to overcharge the flooring. Although the crew did a great job, they took 3 hour lunches and breaks every 30 minutes. A job that should have taken 4 days took 11 days. I would not recommend the lying snake Jim or flooring liquidators. This clown likes to try and take advantage of people.
