have visited many In Shape clubs, all of Modesto, Manteca, Ceres, Merced and more. Most clubs resemble the others, a group fitness room, free weights, treadmills, a lot of the same equipment. What is the huge difference at In Shape Floyd is the people. In a day where customer service is almost non existent, this gym excels with treating their members like family. Forgive me because I can't remember all of the names, but Sharol, Jessica, Berto are all exceptional employees, always willing to help and always give you a warm friendly greeting. I have to mention the awesome Zumba instructors as well. Liza, KP, Jenny, Rosemary, Jennifer and sometimes Delilah are very skilled in their craft and you will consistently get a great workout. There is literally something for everyone, no matter age, size or where you are in your fitness journey. Keep up the FANTASTIC job!
PS the recent Zumbathon was an epic event. Please do this more often, KP and Jennifer did fabulous job!

I wish they would open another in-shape. I’ve been going to the same gym for 14 years now. When I first started going there was enough room to breathe and enough open machines. Now when I get to the gym I feel like I have to fight for a machine or wait a whole 45 minutes for someone to be finished with the machine because they don’t want to give it up because there are no other machines open.?

The Floyd location has very nice staff, available to answer any questions and will immediately find the answer for you if they don’t know. I appreciate the cleanliness of the pool and pool area. Everyone I’ve encountered at this gym have been very nice as well. As someone 60ish I’m starting over but the welcoming environment squashed my anxiety; it’s never too late!

Great gym, clean, spacious, but do not allow your staff to correct or force your clients into using woke-pronouns. We do not share the same views and that is fine, but you should never interrupt a client to correct a pronoun when asking about a concern over the women's restroom/showers and whether a fully intact male who dresses as a woman (that is a member there) is using the facilities. Interrupting told me the pronouns mattered more than my concerns for my safety and privacy. I was asking because I did not want to walk into the women's restroom and be surprised. Staff should bite their tongue, agree to disagree, and move on in conversation, don't let your staff push their ideology on your customers. I didn't interrupt him, nor correct him to use the pronouns that I thought were appropriate, I expect the same courtesy. **Edit: I was being polite and respectful, not argumentative and brash. And in case anyone is wondering, yes, they do allow him into the women’s bathrooms, but he has agreed to leave if anyone is uncomfortable.

Fantastic gym and even better employees. Jessica the manager is amazing she makes sure the club runs smoothly. She makes sure any and all concerns are addressed.
Dons Monday and Wednesday 5:30am RPM (cycling class) class is the place to be early mornings before work.
Thursdays at 9:15 RPM (cycling class) with Sarah. She’s fantastic.
Both will encourage you to keep going even when feeling fatigued.

How are you guys charging people hundred of dollers for something that wasn’t explained one Doller dues doesn’t only specifies that you can’t cancel, you can only go to specific gyms and especially when the day I got it I realized yall tricked me and now you guys charging us every month for nothing

this was a decent gym with ok equipment. but to shed light on the pool/ hot tub situation, on one instance someone had went to the restroom in the jacuzzi and management never followed protocol on closing it down or even deep cleaning it. they also dont release video footage of your car getting damaged/ hit to insurance companies which would save the person tons of money. theres also just no family value here. lots of drama. managers talking about shiftleads to staff if unprofessional. team members talking bad on members. team members interfering with members relationships. just save the hassel! also mold accumulates in sauna and steam and watch out for black widows under the benches.
