Seriously I've been so scared of trusting anyone with my hair because I've been let down so many times before but this one woman named Sherry was so amazing. Did a great job and enjoyed her company

I went to get my hair dyed and cut at Magic Cut by hair stylist Erica on 02/26/2024. Long story short, she left me with the worst dye stains on my forehead (see attached images). I didn’t notice these dye stains at the time because I didn’t have my glasses on/wasn’t in front of a mirror (stylist had me in the shampoo bowl while dye was processing).
I was hesitant to complain but eventually got in contact with the salon owner, Dalia Hanna, on 02/28/2024. We spoke over the phone and I explained what had happened. Dalia didn’t take any accountability and basically blamed me for the incident. She asked what would remedy the situation, which was strange to me because I felt as the owner, she should’ve willingly offered me a refund. If I was a salon owner and a client had walked out the way I did, I would’ve been mortified and offered a refund, no questions asked. I explained how badly the dye stained me and how it had irritated my skin (hoping she would willingly offer a refund), but eventually I asked for a refund and she begrudgingly agreed.
Over texts, she kept insisting that she sent me the refund through Zelle. I was patient and gave her the benefit of the doubt, even though I saw nothing processed through my account. Eventually, I sent her a screenshot of my Zelle activity page that showed I hadn’t received any payment in the last 30 days. Instantly, she offered me a discount on future services that would amount to what I paid. I told her I wasn’t interested as I’m not comfortable receiving services from this salon after my experience. Her offering a discount and not providing proof that she sent the refund through Zelle (i.e. confirmation email), shows me that she lied about sending me the money/never actually sent the money like she said she did. After I declined the discount, she stopped answering my text messages/left me on read.
I don’t like to complain or be unreasonable but I feel like this salon owner really took advantage of the fact that I’m young, thought she could simply say she sent me the money and that I would take her word for it. I’m also concerned with the lack of accountability. The dye had been left on my skin for almost an hour. My skin is “normal” and I never have bad reactions to skin/hair products. Since this incident, my skin is extremely dry and flaky where the dye had been in contact with my skin. I can only imagine the damage that could’ve been done on someone with more sensitive skin than mine.

Despite the years, this business lacks professionalism, integrity, morally, and ethical practices. Hairstylist - Claimed they have years of experience but their work is less than mediocre and have the mentality of "I am right customer is wrong!" Dahlia- exhibits bipolar behaviors. Untrustworthy, to say the least. Acts honorably when others are present to give credit for actions but does not do the right thing, when no one is looking. Horrible representation of women empowerment. She disciplines employees in front of customers (unprofessional). Do not waste your time to complain if you're dissatisfied with service rendered. She doesn't give a dam about your experience and will lie to avoid responsibility when confronted with issues.. ***File a complaint with state or BBB to establish a pattern of illegal and unethical business practices.*** See photo example of business pride of service! Hairstylist stained sport jersey with hair dye along with a horrible haircut. Couldn't care less, not her fault, really? How is this the customers fault? Enter this business at your own risk. Would not recommend!

Ysenia is and has been my family's go to Hair connoisseur for years now. Her professionalism and vast knowledge makes getting my haircuts done the right way easy. She not only does my hair and my boys' but my wife and daughters' as well. From cut to color to style she knows and does it all!

Second time for myself and first time for my 4 year old getting a haircut and both times these ladies did an amazing job. They understood exactly what I was asking for, were patient and friendly with my toddler so she felt extremely comfortable. We will definitely keep coming back for our mother daughter haircuts. Thank you so much for a great experience, every time.

So I would steer clear of going to this salon because the owner will not take accountability/be difficult if something goes wrong with your service(s)!
