Genuinely mortified and disappointed by the work that was done here.
I have never been to this place before and it is very safe to say that I will NEVER go back.
Le me start by saying that as a walk-in, I appreciated their ability to seat me within 15 minutes but that was the only thing good they had going for themselves and I should have known better by how uncomfortable I felt, but after looking at the stars and seeing a 4.2 rating, I assumed they would be ok.
I told the nail tech I wanted black coffin nails and even showed her a photo to confirm coffin and from the moment she started there were mistake after mistakes made but because I am not a Nail Tech or Expert I let her continue as I watched a movie on my phone. Big mistake and I blame myself because even with me seeing the mistakes, even with her fingers sticking to mine because of the amount of glue she utilized, and me addressing her on 2 different occasions I still went through with it because I was desperate.
There are not enough words to describe how tacky, distasteful, and disgusting my nails were done. I could have stayed home and saved the $51 I reluctantly paid. The tech had no remorse for how she left my nails nor did she offer to redo, remove, or discount. She was so confident in her work it is sickening. She does NOT deserve a station at any nail salon
Please stay away from this location.

I have came here for long time but not no more. The pricing has gotten ridiculous. They are twice as expensive to get a pedicure as some others. I will be going to David Lee's from now on the basic pedicure is $15 there and is $30. Sorry your price increase just lost you a customer nothing special about your pedicure for difference in price.

do not come here. I came to get my nails and feet done and I got foot fungus in all my nails. vey disgusting and unsanitary to my health and others. go somewhere else !! 4/24

The service was super horrible I was looking for a new nail place since I just moved to Modesto with my in laws. Thought i would give it a try I sat down and waited there was no one in line. The lady said she will be right with me. Then two other girls walk in and sit down and the lady automatically takes the 2 girls in before me . What kinda business are they running here. ? very Very rude and disrespectful lady owner once I confronted her about being the first one there and waiting for a while. Smh Do not come here I've seen a lot of mixed reviews but this is by far the worst place I've been to plus the lady argued with me so I just walked out never going back. I would give no stars if I can

I've been here a few times. If you are looking for your nails to be done, see Steven or his wife. Both are very good. However, I went in yesterday looking for an acrylic overlay since my natural nails had gotten long enough. One nail did have a missing little piece on one side. I asked the lady (not the owners wife) doing my nails if she could use a form on that nail to build it, and it could be even. She refused and did what she wanted. I had several nails not completely filled in with any acrylic. I pointed out 2 of them and asked if she could maybe fix it ( it had a VERY noticeable ridge built up on the side) and added a little acrylic to fill it in on the ridge i was asking her to fix. She then proceeded to build up the exact spot I was asking her to blend in. When I tried showing her again where I meant, she did the ok ok thing and kept building back up that same ridge. None of the nails were the same thickness either. I wanted my nails to look natural since they are my natural nails. A few looked natural, but most looked like I had acrylic nails put on. I did file off the gel polish I paid for so that I could try to file down and fix the abnormalities. They're a little more blended but missing quite a few areas of acrylic as well as the additional money I paid for the gel polish. Again, if you come here for nails, make sure to see steven or his wife.

i would give 0 stars but it's not a option! went in for a manicure but ended up with sore finger tips - he never touched my cuticles or soaked them to trim , he filed my gel polish off with the electric file then started filing my own nails down to the tips with a acrylic file so close 3 of them feel raw and super sore to touch ! i do not recommend!! paid 40 $ with a tip i tipped only because i felt pressured with my manicurist standing over me !! this was 9-18-23 around 1:40 pm

Do any salons around here actually do real manicures anymore? This is the 3rd place I’ve been to in town when asking for a manicure and gel set that they’ve completely neglected giving me an actual manicure. They didn’t soak my nails before trimming , they never touched my cuticles, and no hand massage. I’m from Fresno and any place I’ve been to there, those are standard for a manicure.
When I wanted a new set I was pressed for a fill, I had to be firm with my choice. After they drilled down the layer of gel, they ripped of my nail by sliding another nail underneath. It hurt! I pulled my hand away and asked what she was doing and that she ripped off half my nail and her response was you wanted a new set right. I asked about soaking off but she did not want to do that because it takes at least 1 hour. She said she can fill or do this. I should have left. But I stayed and proceeded to let her rip every nail off. It was so painful. I started sweating from the pain and my finger tips were throbbing with pain for a few hours after and tender the rest of the day. Why did I stay? Because last time I was here they did such a great job on my nails..
This time not so much, but these were different techs touching my nails. This time my nails were not natural looking, slightly bulky. There is the old green polish from my last set still on the edges of my nails. And some of the gel has bubbles. Two techs touched my nails. One put the new set on, the other reshaped the set and painted. I wanted ombré, but she didn’t think it would look good with short nails, then I showered her a pic with nail art to see if she could do it, she said she can’t do art. So I settled for solid colors. I do love the colors I picked though.
I would have given 1 star but like I said last time my nails came out so great. The man up front did my set last time, a fill, and then a lady painted them and did cute daisies (I was told she was off on maternity leave this time).

I love my experience there! I always enjoy my pedicure. The girl who does it for me is amazing... I wasn't able to get her name, but the last 3 times I've been there, it's always her, and I love it. She takes her time and doesn't rush my pedicure. My nail lady is also amazing. Does beautiful work. I am very simple when it comes to my nails, nothing fancy but love her work. Will also update her name. She has done my nails the last 2 times, but the lady from my first time is also good.

They're not perfect but the nail competition is tough with all these IG people doing nails as well but if you don't have the money or they are busy nails by steven is a great place. Ive been coming here one & off for year since I don't get my nails done often plus on my license cosmetologist so I do my own a lot but we I want some else to do them they are great here. They never pressure me into making different choices. Other than what I asked for they will offer options but no pressure at all. I was going to try knows by David Lee since steven's was busy when I called however, when I went the man there was so rude upfront that I decided he thought he was too busy to do my nails or didn't want my business so I decided to wait and go to Stevens they did as I asked with no problem. Removed my acrylic nails and did a gel manicure soaked my nails the water could've been warm but otherwise it was good removed cuticles, cut a shaped my nails to a decent short length because of course after after they are weak. Did short massage with lotion cuticle oilI paid $45 & that with me giving a decent tip. I love them they are about making you happy and also there is no attitude from the employees.

Rude guy Steven I made an appointment. My appointment was at two. I brought my mom with me and show me weighs 76 pounds and I asked them if they could put her in the child seat because she's really small I am and he was like no no then just yours and I told him I'm like the whole purpose was to bring her so that she could get her toes done you know and he was just really rude. He was like no no and I was like come on like you know what I'm saying and then finally, I get him to do it and then he has a problem with doing mine so I just said forget it I just thought it was Hella rude like you would think he would be more mindful. You know what I'm saying just I don't know it would've been nice he could've just been nice about it.
