bought a supposedly “exclusive” vinyl variant. for some context this exclusive variant comes with a red and white vinyl color, the red one worth $25 and the white one $300. The one they sold to me had a sticker saying exclusive limited edition vinyl color implying it’s really rare when in reality it could be found at target for half the price they r selling. The whole vinyl color wasn’t the worst part cause when i opened the vinyl it was already used.

I am describing a personal experience I had with this place. Listen folks do not, and let me emphasize this strongly do not take your items to sell to this place. I know it's a business and they say they pay the highest cash for your items. Let me explain to you what top cash means it means that you are subject to sell for whatever they want to buy it. There was a gentleman in front of me and he took with him about 400 DVDs and Blu-ray and vinyl 45s and albums, I asked him how did it go? He said they offered him $17 for about 100 of the items that comes out to about $.17 cents per item. They told them they were not interested in buying the rest but if he wanted to he could donate them so he did not want to carry them back to the car so obviously he did donate them. I was next and I brought with me about 200 blu rays and about 200 DVDs a lot of titles were hard to find, and every single DVD in there was in its original packaging And every Blu-ray and DVD was an excellent condition they wanted to take advantage of me and offer me $40 for 300 movies. I said OK like I don't think so "ok" and started packing my movies and took them back home. Here's why ..,do not trust these people the first thing they do is buy stuff really cheap so they can pay the employees and they can pay for their overhead and their utilities and insurance and what not then they make a profit.APL of this by making you feel dependent on them for money. Well first, they pay all the employees and pay all their bills by stating that they pay top cash for items to lure you to their store. Top cash ?, not true at all they are a rip off.And if you want to buy do some more research on OfferUp or on some other website, you could probably get the movies cheaper. If not, at least you could return them if there's an issue this place in my opinion because of my experience is ripping people off. They might not want us to tell you about this, but my suggestion is there are a lot of people willing to buy DVDs and Blu-ray in good shape and box sets and give you better pricing than this place will. Do not do not do not do not do not do not do not!!!!!..." let me emphasize"., Do not waste your time by calling them or going over there because they will not give you a good deal and all the vinyl that they buy they don't tell you what it's worth, I saw these people in action so I'm letting you know right now do not sell cassettes , records or movies to these people shame on them. Some of that stuff is worth literally $40 to $1,000's of dollars do the research first...I would not recommend these people at all and I tell it like it is and I tell the truth look on OfferUp or other websites that people do buy and give you a better deal let's put these people out of business.

The largest and best record shop in Modesto. They carry clothes, records, CD's, DVD's, and other media and music knick knacks. The selection is enough to have you spending your day here browsing for that perfect song. The staff is always friendly and the products are all affordable

Whenever I visit the Central Valley, I make it a priority to visit Mad Monks (Rasputin's), since I don't have one where I currently live. This place is massive. Someone can literally be here for hours and still barely scratch the surface. The prices for movies are great, especially the $1.99 deals. Normally, Disney BluRays are $20 and up because they're classics (Snow White, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, etc), but I got about 6 of them for $1.99 each. The majority of films are $10 and under, so that's great. Their selection of CDs is large, as well as their vinyls. I also love that they sell VHS tapes, especially the classic Disney foldable ones.

Very rude customer service. I came in with store credit but I had to use it all at once. I said they can keep the rest because they were closing. But no they can’t do that for some reason even though they would gain the extra money. The workers were all smirking and standing around doing absolutely nothing while this was taking place. So I then purchased my items and wanted to just cash out the store credit. For some reason the worker said they don’t cash out the pay stubs from donating items. Even though I have done this before. They are so rude in there and I will not ever return.

This place is barely ever open everyone I look at their hours it always changes every few weeks. I've been in to sell cloths before and they barely take anything even of great value but when I go into the store there is stained old cloths that I don't thing anyone will want. The vintage side of the store is good but can be hit or miss. Some of their new items are good and in style but overpriced since this is the main way they make money. Customer service is usually fine I don't mind not being talked to when I just want to look around stores and they're always nice at checkout. Lastly I went in and tried to but a pair of pants but because there was no price on it she wouldn't let me buy it? Like don't you guys price all of these???

I love it here. This place has come a long way from Dale Rd. Tbh it's kind of lame that they barely play music in the store these days. If they do play music you can barely hear it. When you spend an hour browsing through clothes, cds, and books you want to listen to music. I miss the record store feel.

First time going to this store the other day.. I was surprised the store was so big. There are good deals on clothing and something for everyone here. I like this store but the employees are not friendly and definitely not helpful, but I will still shop here.. check it out.

Only place to buy vintage vinyl and CD’s out here and my daughter likes to go, otherwise I’d go elsewhere. Their thrift side is super overpriced. Also, I asked them if they would buy children’s clothes and they said yes. I came back with a box full of girl’s clothes and women’s clothes, they bought maybe 5 things including one pair of jeans w the tags still on and they offered $6 and rejected everything else. I was now told they don’t buy kid’s clothes which is odd because they sell them. I had quite a few shein items that were brand new and I was told they were “too cheap” by the super unhappy employee. I guess selling Walmart brand overpriced super worn and damaged clothes w stains and holes is ok, but brand new shein is where we draw the line. I also had other brand new items in there that I guess were also too cheap. Don’t waste your time packing everything up and bringing it to them. Plato’s closet also buys clothing and they don’t have a nasty attitude about it. Also, for CD’s and vinyl, you’re better off shopping on eBay as the vinyl here is overpriced and the selection is just meh.

This place was my favorite. Now they have overpriced clothing. No more color tags. SHEIN , Walmart and target clothing for $5-10$ . Dresses $15-20$ . A bunch of clothes that are stain and rip still are overpriced. The clothing that are $1.99 are all stained, holes rip, discolored etc. I’ll stick to Plato’s closet instead.

I was in dire need of the weezer blue album in vinyl and guess what they had it. Weezer is like such a vibe dude. Oooweeee ooooo I look just like buddy holly type shit. The guitar tone on that album is just pure awesome sauce. Pinkerton is a bop too but bro do I look like I got $70 right now. Only downside to this place is that it's closed like every day I feel like I wanna go shopping for vinyl, though that was probably calculated to save us from buying too much shit. I will be back to buy more weezer blue albums.
