Wish I could leave less than a one star review. Spoke with a woman named Doris. She was extremely rude and unprofessional since she came off as very condescending. Definitely won't be opening an account with this bank at all!

The absolute WORST bank I have ever experienced in my life.The tellers are gossipy and rude.I received a cheque from a company I was signed up to do business with. The supposed company sent me a letter and a cheque which I was to deposit in my bank. It was a fraudulent cheque. I called the bank, went to the police, called the FBI, everything you're supposed to do. I never spent a penny of the money.I soon received a letter informing me that Umpqua closed my account.I am a disabled senior on disability. I have bills to pay on the first of the month. I can't get another chequeing account that fast. Being ill and in a wheelchair, it is a slow process. This was cruel.Maybe they are good to their big clients, but people like myself are objects of scorn.

Never had such an issues with any other Bank. Hours are horrible, not open on Saturday so that doesn't help me whatsoever. If I need to make a phone call to talk to somebody at least 20 mins to 40 mins I'm hold! And all my other banks I use deposit through Mobile banking I get funds within a 24 hours max. This bank takes around 2 to 3 days for it to come through which doesn't help my business.

I opened an account to finance our home solar and pool project. The service was fabulous worked with us even while we had to be out of town during some deadlines. I chose to use them for my business as I started the company. They have again exceeded expectations. Every time I come in they know and call me by name. So I opened accounts for my children and we do their banking at Umpqua. I've never had the personal feeling from my other financial institutions.

I called the Turlock branch because I heard they offer to do a medallion stamp that my large banking Institute that I've banked with for 35 years won't do. I left a message not expecting to hear back but I did. Janet, manager of the Turlock branch, not only called me back but when she heard this was because it needed due to my Mom's passing recently she would see what she could do. I told her my credit union offered the service, but after meeting with the credit union they said they couldn't help me. I was at a loss...then Janet called me again to see how I was doing. She said I just needed to be a member and she'd take care of me! My sister had the same issues in Idaho...went in and opened an account and they helped with the paperwork right then! Unheard of to have people who care at a bank. Opening my account tomorrow!
