About Camp Trask Scout Reservation - GLAAC
Camp Trask Scout Reservation is a beautiful and majestic hidden gem in the foothills, offering a forest camping feel just minutes from the city. It is a great camp for program, providing Scouts BSA and Cubs of all ages access to fun program, great camping, and merit badge classes. The location at the foot of the Angeles Crest with a stream running through it is amazing for real-life training scenarios. The facility includes a camp area, shooting area, chapel, swimming area, an open but unheated pool, a snack shack, and restrooms. The camp has faced challenges, having been hit hard by forest fires and a flood. While some damaged areas have recovered and parts like the pool have been fixed up, other parts still need work. The bridge to the campsite can be flooded, the dining hall is boarded up and under construction, and some areas need more recovery. Visitors are advised to bring their own drinking water and gear and to drive carefully on the narrow, paved road, following directions. Despite the need for ongoing support and repairs to ensure it remains open, it remains a beautiful place to get away, with a wonderful sunrise and a kind and warm atmosphere. Many hope it does not close for the sake of future scouts.
A nicely kept camp. They need to finish the kitchen and dining hall, ASAP!

Camp Trask was amazing. Mr. Ed was kind and warm and has great taste in music. The scenery was beautiful and majestic. Our scout troop/pack had the opportunity to go and clean up some debris off the sides of the road. We will definitely be going back eventually.

Such a hidden gem. Just went for the 1st time for a First Aid and Wilderness training class. Great that we got to act out real life scenarios at the campsite. Amazing location at the foot of Angeles Crest with a stream running through it.
