In from out of state. Chose the location because of proximity and easier route to funeral services I attended the next 2 days. It also had mostly good reviews. However, I wish I took the advice of one particular reviewer who said they stayed one night and the room was so bad they moved to the DoubleTree across the freeway and had a much better experience. I arrived with my brother. I booked a couple days earlier; he booked that day. When he tried to check in, they said Marriott systems went down that morning and he wasn't on their printed list. So, he couldn't be checked in, even tho he could show them his confirmation #, and therefore he had to "go to another hotel." Mind-boggling to me that they don't have a manual way to deal with such a simply real possibility like this occurring, especially with many empty rooms. Consider what hotels did just 30 yrs ago before online bookings and cell phones? But the guy telling us this clearly wasn't in a position to understand the argument or make decisions, which means his bosses had even worse leadership. But my brother is the patient type, no matter how angry he is. They gave him a list of Marriott's that were not really close, but he was my ride and couldn't go too far. I told him about that review and how DoubleTree was my 2nd choice. My brother went there and told me later he had much better experience - nice room, good staff, etc. I WAS on the paper list and got checked in, but that was more bad news. Lobby and dining area looked great, but from the elevator to the room it looked like a rundown, old hotel - especially the room. And I got the 8th floor and the last door at the end of the hallway (as they typically do with online booking service users). Decor was typical modern-retro Marriott, decent TV, but had popcorn ceilings and the furniture was very worn and filthy. My room smelled like an old guy bathed in Old Spice and stayed there for a week. I happen to have a minor allergy to whatever that spice is in some colognes and perfumes. Fortunately, I discovered it was only on the bedspread. When I took that off and put it in a drawer, 95% of the smell went away. I never would've slept otherwise. The bed was good and comfortable so I did sleep pretty well. The furniture had very obvious stains, and the desk chair and side table were so worn they must've been original room items. I simply never used nor put anything in or on that part of the room. That bad. The bathroom was clean so I give them credit there. But the final blow was that the windows might as well not even been there in terms of sound. That was the first night of the ongoing rain the past couple weeks so I'm glad it at least kept me dry and warm, but I could every single noise outside and on the freeway. Fortunately, freeway traffic worked like white-noise for me and I slept, but light-sleepers beware. Basically, their rooms could use furniture and minor design upgrades, bedspreads need more frequent cleaning, windows need another pane. Clientele was also dry. Seemed like it catered to pretentious middle-aged guys not on business or holiday. That was my situation, but I was forced into it by a funeral. The desk girl the 2nd day was a bit more attentive and nice. She found and lent me an umbrella for my brother. I also had a breakfast sandwich at the dining area that was possibly the best I've ever had and worth the $12 I spent. Other than that, I was glad the funeral and all the places my brother took me to downtown kept me out of the hotel.

The rooms are pretty dated. Room had an odor that didn’t go away. Aircon made a ton of noise. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had a very slight room issue when I arrived. Went to reception and the guy on reception (Victor) couldn’t have been a better host. Sorted everything out in seconds and I even got a free cookie (they were free to everyone on reception). The free appetisers in the restaurant are a really nice touch. Hot food for free is rare in any hotel.Overall, the experience was so impressive I returned for a 2nd night due to getting back from work late rather than travel back to Santa Clarita. Big shout out to Victor!!

Our family of four stayed in a room with two queen beds. The rooms were modern, comfortable and nicely equipped (mini-fridge, TV with streaming services). We didn’t get the breakfast package, but purchased food at the hotel and it was very good. The gym is small, but has a few machines and dumbbells. We spent time in the hot tub (outdoor). The pool is also heated (outdoor). Lots of parking at the hotel - felt very secure. No EV charging, but there were charging stations in the shopping area nearby.Nearby activities: The proximity to the freeway makes it easy to access nearby towns. We spent time in Pasadena and were able to get there in ~10-15 minutes. The LA Arboretum was close and really awesome.

Location is perfect for a car traveling. A bit noise for too close to HWY 210. It is a valuable hotel at LA area with clean room.

Great service for parties, I didn't stay for a night, so I can't speak for room service, but from the sounds, this is a great place to stay.

I found the place very cold and uninviting. The staff seemed very programmed. Couldn’t even direct me to the elevator. Asked some of the guests nearby, but no one spoke English. The room was warm and clean. The bed was comfortable. But based on the atmosphere and staff I’d rather find an old hotel along Route 66 in the area.

The rooms are very outdated. The toilets are very old and creaking. The pictures in the website gives a very different impression to reality. The doors to the balcony are locked and hence no ventilation for rooms. There are no USB chargers . The room has an old noisy air conditioner. Over all the specs you will expect from Marriott is missing.

Very kind and friendly staff, the location is a double edged sword, next to the freeway, the sound at night is awful but it’s great for getting around. Lots of fast food and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast food, Starbucks, and bar on site. The rooms were clean and safe, beds were very firm. Hot tubs were lukewarm at best.

We definitely woke up the front desk gut at 2am when we got there for check in. Our hallway smelled so gross when we got there. There was obviously something in the trash and was taken care of. Nice area, would stay here againNearby activities: Great stay if going to irwindale speedway
