Monrovia Animal Medical Center is a little gem, I was referred by a friend and so happy with our experience. The front desk staff were so friendly with great customer service, the RVT who came in to gather information was so sweet, caring and explained the process of giving medication thoroughly. Dr. Tremonte came in with a smile, was gentle with Duke, answered all our questions. This practice made us feel like family, I highly recommend.

Dr. G and her staff are absolutely amazing. My only regret is that we didn't find out about them sooner! We felt like part of their family... they took care of our Maverick as if he was one of their own. They spent all the time we needed to understand Maverick's needs and address any questions or concerns. We are truly blessed to have found Monrovia Animal Medical Center, Dr. G. and her staff.

Such sweet people who understand how much love you have for a pet. They don't try to talk you into spending money when it's not worth it, rather the opposite: They told me it would be a lot of money and might only prolong suffering. My favorite vet ever.

Took our pregnant dog to get checked to confirm her pregnancy, doctor was very rude and wanted to know if we wanted to do a C-section that would kill the puppies for $1,500 and we said no. The next day the puppies were born. When we asked if they had any information for taking care of new born puppies all she said was "just Google it" like thanks for that and $450 to just have x-rays done. Unprofessional, rude, and cold is how I would describe the vet here, I'm going to look somewhere else for the puppies.

I went in for a simple rabbies shots. First I had to wait an hour which is okay. Once being seeing an older man was assisting us in the room and he wasn't pleasant at all. Was actually rude. I had asked how much for the rabbies shot and they said $35. After the shots once I was ready to pay they surprise me with a $45 first time patient fee. Why wouldn't you have that posted before coming in? Why wouldn't you tell me that before agreeing to see me? This is a scam. Be aware!!! Also they don't give you your dog until you pay!!!!!!

I wouldn’t give 1 star but had to . On a Saturday my cat became sick I was able to get an appt with this vet brought her in saud NOTHING WRONG WITH HER … I was shocked I know my cat came home my cat became worse called they were closed had to take to ER in Pasadena a UTI and 2000.00 dollars later . But this vet says move to a bigger apartment I did get 3 cat boxes I did get calming spray I did she then said your cat has issues I would put her on amitriptyline.. But she was out and had to hurry up and leave never given a estimate leaving I was handed a 1000.00 bill … I says fir what ? They said those are our fees .. don’t go to her waste of emotions time health of your fur baby

I usually don't write reviews unless it was an over the top experience or a horrendous experience. My recent visit prompt me to write this review in hopes that patients don't waste their time and money like I did. Please take the negative reviews into consideration, and do not overlook it like I did. I scheduled an appointment at this clinic solely due to their availability (big mistake). I was seeking dental cleaning for my 2 pups, but I had to schedule a physical first before moving forward with dental procedures (understandable). When I arrived at my appointment, I had to wait over an hour to see the Vet (keep in mind I had an appointment, this was during the pandemic). She came into the office and did not introduce herself and immediately started to criticize the behavior of my dogs (who have been anxiously waiting in the room with me for over an hour) and said they can sense my anxiety. But I was not anxious, very calm and waiting patiently. Our conversation consisted about my dogs being up to date with vaccines due to an outbreak (which I understood the first round). She stressed about getting vaccines and then assumed I had an issue with money. She took my dogs into a separate room for examination and the nurse explained the vets examination and what they recommended. The Vet did not speak to me at all about her examination, the nurse said they were both fine with dental plaques. Keep in mind my whole visit took 3 hours. I spent approximately 40 minutes in total speaking with the vet and nurse about vaccines and briefly talked about dental procedures. At the end o my examination, I had to request to speak with the vet about the examination and what the next steps are for the dental procedure. When she came in to speak with me she said passively "I have 2 other patients waiting for me, I don't have much time. How can I help?" Which I thought was extremely rude given that my appointment stretched to 3 hours and I was still confused about the prognosis to all my concerns (which were dental cleaning and my dogs health). She ended up given me a brochure about dental cleaning. Also to add the cherry on top, she did not want to take me in as a new patient because my sister had already visited her back in 2016 with her pet hamster. We used the same address and said they only take 1 new patients per on household. I thought it was odd because we were 2 separate people with separate animals. My overall experience from this - vet does not care about the animals and more in it for the money. There was no passion or empathy. Do not see this vet who lacks compassion. Please save ur time. Also, this Vet allows her nurse (who is not a RVT) do the dental cleaning - please know that's illegal in the state of California. PS - I am currently in vet school. Thank you doc for showing me how to NOT run a clinic. Wouldn't want to learn from a doc like her. Lacks emotional intelligence I recommend these clinics to visit - they have competent doctors and assistance who are transparent and communicate well. Will accurately diagnose your animals. - Cypress animal hospital (Covina) - Dr Domotor animal house (Monrovia)

I just wanted to thank Dr. G and her staff for taking such good care of Natcho. He has recovered from his surgery and is doing well. We will be returning when he needs additional vet care. Thank you again.
