Monrovia Canyon Park is a beautiful and well-maintained outdoor area that offers a variety of trails suitable for all ages and skill levels. Visitors can enjoy a scenic waterfall hike that is mostly shaded, featuring water crossings and a steady incline that leads to a stunning waterfall, perfect for relaxing and taking photos. The trail is around 1.5 miles one way, with options to shorten the hike by starting from the top parking lot. The park also includes several other trails, such as the winding Bill Cull trail with scenic views and twists, and an overlook trail that provides impressive vistas. The park is family-friendly, with picnic and BBQ areas, clean bathrooms, and water fountains, making it ideal for picnics or a quick outdoor escape. Pets on leashes are welcome, and visitors often see deer and fawns along the trails. Parking requires a fee, but it is worth the cost, and early arrivals are recommended to avoid crowds. The park has made recent improvements, including new signage, upgraded roadways, parking, and buildings. Visitors are encouraged to respect the environment by cleaning up after themselves and taking trash home. Overall, Monrovia Canyon Park offers a clean, welcoming environment with beautiful scenery, fun trails, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great destination for outdoor adventures, family outings, and nature appreciation.
Wonderful place to take the kids. Let them run around. The nature center is nice. Too bad they didn't take out Oreo and s'mores which are the names of the snakes. One of the nicer parks but please clean up after yourself.
