I think this place is really nice for many reasons, plus just the fact it's in Los Angeles means it has a lot going against it already and being from here I think you understand what I mean. It was clean, no homeless around at all, the room was great for what I needed. It had a large TV to watch and my room had 1 king bed and a couch with a coffee table. The AC worked great too which is something you must have in LA and the room came with a small fridge. I've been here before too and it was just as nice then.

This is a no-pet hotel, but thank you to Oak Tree Inn for making an exception for me and my two boys as I was fighting homelessness back in February 2025 after being displaced from Savannah and returning to California.
Monique is an absolute gem. She works the front desk, but what she did for me went far beyond any job description. One night, my cat Rollie was outside when a group of coyotes appeared nearby. Monique didn’t hesitate—she immediately alerted me and helped me get to him in time. Her quick thinking and genuine concern quite literally saved my cat’s life as he was in fact attacked, but because of her we were able to intervene and luckily survived.
It’s rare to find someone who not only does their job well, but truly cares. Monique didn’t have to say anything—but she did. She was alert, watching the security cameras, and made the split-second decision to act. That matters. After ten months of living in hotels, I’ve seen how often night staff treat the midnight shift like nap time—sleeping without a care in the world, totally neglecting the security of their guests from not only trespassers but predators alike. If this had been one of those staff members, my party of three could’ve become two—or even one. But Monique was awake, aware, and on it. She stayed calm, acted fast, and looked out for us when it really counted. I’ll never forget that.
This was one of the hardest times in my life. I stayed at Oak Tree Inn for a month with nothing but what I could fit in my car—and my two cats. I had never been in that kind of position before, and I cannot begin to describe the depth of my gratitude to Monique.
Because in that moment, she didn’t just save my cat—she may have saved me, too. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had lost one of my boys during one of the most devastating chapters of my life. I just know I would never have forgiven myself.
Thank you, Monique. You are a hero with front desk keys, and I will remember your kindness forever. Rollie was a big boy when you last saw him, about 17lbs. He is now 21lbs and is fat and happy because of you. He said meow and we are going to start our weight loss journey soon, but maybe next Summer bc this Summer already started he said haha. Meow 😻

I stayed here for one night and I was excited because the location is great and the employees are very polite.... but when I got into my room it was like a horror movie. the first thing I noticed was a huge black stain on the very old carpet, and the stains on the door & walls (possibly pee? see video). after that I noticed the computer chair was falling apart, and the bedside drawer still had tobacco and a blunt inside it. there were also popcorn kernels and hair accessories on the floor, the maid had clearly not finished cleaning the room. then I noticed the bathroom smelled really weird and when I went to shower I looked up and there is black mold growing on the ceiling. I did not complain because I really needed to catch up on sleep, I had a very busy schedule, but even if I did I am not confident the other rooms are any better. I've never been to a hotel this bad.
tldr:
1. massive carpet and wall stains
2. room was not cleaned, trash everywhere
3. black mold in the bathroom
run, do not walk, run away from this establishment.

Attempted to evacuate here during the fire, was turned away as they had no power. Then once I asked for a refund, they refused and said no one was turned away. SHAME ON YOU, there’s a special place for scammers in a disaster.

It was a nice room but they need to clean the entire room. Stains on wall, door, window, curtains, the bathroom was okay beside the ant that was coming from some where. Left on a Sunday and my bag was cover with them.

If you like dirty smelly short on supplies no maid service no exchange of towels then this is the place for you. The elevators are dirty the hallways are dirty most lights aren't turned on at night. Rugs in the room have suspicious stains. They give you tiny soaps. Half used toilet paper. No maid service unless your there a full week. I had to take my own trash out daily. Room smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana. I couldn't wait to get out of there
And the ice machine look awful dusty and dirty. This is a place where homeless people would like but for someone who isn't homeless this is not a place to stay. I will never go back to this place. Stay away and don't be fooled with the lower price. It's not worth it

Rooms: While there were some superficial issues like cracks or dents, they were minor, and the room was clean and spacious and the air conditioner was very quiet. (Big plus for me since my bf needs the room cooler to sleep)
Nearby activities: We stayed here as it was close to the Santa Fe dam recreation area where they were having the Renaissance Fair. There are plenty of shopping areas close by and a botanical garden not far down the freeway.
Food & drinks: Many options for dining near by, even a vegan restaurant owned by Kevin Hart! Didn't get to try that, but next time I'm in the area I will. We ended up eating at Domenico's Italian restaurant. It was a bit high priced, but there were some half priced meals, so we ended up with a great deal and food was delicious! The service was great as well.

I feel like they’re real stingy with their toilet paper. I would like to not run out of tissue in the middle of the night, but it seems like I don’t get an extra one when I’m running low. Another issue I had was not necessarily the Motel fault, but there was broken glass bottles at the parking lot and my tire had a low leak. I did mention it to the lady. She asked immediately if I had a problem with my tire which I told her I didn’t move the glass. Unfortunately it wasn’t till the next day I noticed I had a slow leak I went to the office and nobody was there and the third issue I had was the room had no microwave and of course they lock their lobby in the middle of the night, so if you’re hungry, you wanna warm up something for yourself good luck the fourth issue I’ve had in three days so I stayed. There was an issue with some one right above me seem like somebody was jumping off the bed running around the whole night. I did ask the front desk on one of the nights if they can address the issue, I am not sure if they did because the noise and bang continued the whole night.
