I should have read the reviews before renting from here. When I initially went to pick up my car it was getting close to closing time they didn't have a car ready for me keeping in mind that this was a reserved car. They gave me a car that had some kind of residue that could not be removed off the windshield causing me to have limited visibility. I returned the car the next day and had the distinct displeasure of meeting and dealing with Javier. Javier should never be dealing with the public. He is rude and condescending. He offered me three different options all of which were substandard, either they were filthy or they had cracks in the windshield causing me to lose time from my business. I canceled my contract and got a brand new rental in immaculate condition from Alamo at the airport. Never ever will I do business with Avis again, nor would I ever recommend this Avis/Budget location to anyone. Avis corporate will be hearing about this. Management needs to reconsider who they have working with the public and they need to step up their game in providing, clean, safe vehicles. I wish I could give negative stars because this is how frustrated and disgusted I was with this entire experience.

After I called inquiring about payment options, once I got there they told me that they don't accept the payment options that I offered. This is something they could have told me on the phone.

This Avis location is the absolute worst. Javier has absolutely no idea what he's doing. He will add ridiculous charges to your rental and make it impossible to maintain a working relationship. He'll try and screw you over every chance he gets...I had been driving a full size sedan for nearly a month and was able to keep renewing the contract every week. Unfortunately, I ended up getting a flat on a Friday night and had to use the spare to get home. I couldn't accept rides on usually the busiest night of the week. Oh well...thats life... I get it. So I take the car in next day on Saturday morning thinking I'll be able to get a comparable vehicle, only to be told that they only have 1 vehicle available for "Uber drivers", (which oh btw are usually the standard, older, vehicles, parked in the back row of the parking lot...) Okay, fine, whatever right...it just a car for work...who cares...So the car steering wheel was covered in brown grease, which was also caked all up on the sun visor and rear view mirror. Yikes! But the the worst part was the fact that the check engine light was on, putting me back where I started again. Unable to take riders again now on Saturday and Sunday. Finally, on Monday morning I go in to exchange the car, Javier rents me a car with blacked out rims, less than a quarter tank of gas, cheap window tint that was never even cut, leaving the excess film just hanging down....when I asked if he had anything else available he of course said no... Not only that, he tells me he will give me a "good car" for the my troubles... ...the car had awkward drug dealer vibes and honestly made me apprehensive about accepting rides because of the unsightly state of the cars interior. I basically had to explain away the cars shortcomings to every rider I had throughout the week.. which wasn't fun. Fast forward to the next Monday and I return the car. However, Javier charges me for Saturday and Sunday. Even though I couldn't even use the car that was given because it had a check engine light on, and it was absolutely filthy inside. Further, Javier rented the car to me on Monday and I returned in on Monday. Avis needs to do better. Get rid of this idiot and bring Muhammad back. He understands how to not screw over paying customers and completely lose any chance of doing business with them again in the future.

I made a reservation fa in advance.... Under the category of "hybrid".... Received an email confirmation for a "Toyota Prius or similar"... Came from Riverside, paid an uber ride to get here.. when I get here, there's only 1 car available... a VW Jetta. And it wasn't even for me, has anyone else arrived before me, they would've given that person the Jetta.... And there would be Nothing for me!! A Jetta is a far cry from any hybrid. Rep. Said they don't guarantee any cars what so ever! Then wtf is the point of a reservation?! Beyond me.

Horrible experience. Online, used AARP as promo. Price was $396 for 6 days (ok). Got to rental counter in Boston. The attendental added all these extra charges and comes up with $ 1060 ! So she takes off the unlimited miles - gas charge, now it's $776. Still much higher. I showed her a pic of my online agreement. She said 'it is $396'. Absolutely ridiculous. Also online, it said to go to fast break line (since I already applied online). The fast break line took us to a garage full of cars with no-one around ! Never again with Budget.

My now go to. Good prices and great customer service. Will get you in and out. Very reliable and have a nice huge selection of cars. Would recommend.

I had a great experience at this place. Needed a car last minute and they had a brand new Malibu! The person at the front desk was really nice, patient and helpful. Love the quick return process too, thank you! Will be coming back!

If I could leave a negative 5 stars i would. Not only did this location let me drive off the lot with a non-working vehicle (the computer went out and the brakes failed with my three year old in the car in the middle of the freeway) that left us stranded in the middle of the desert on our way to Las Vegas, the manager tried to excuse the situation by saying if we had purchased their insurance we would have been serviced faster. Then he tried to have me pay for the rental saying the best he could do was give me a discount. Picture it, three year old in the back car failing, brakes failing and roadside assistance could not get us a new car or ride to our hotel. As a last resort, we ended up having to call my sister who had just arrived to Vegas to turn around and pick us up because it was midnight and no tow truck or pick up had been dispatched to us. But a discount was all he could do. Thank you Las Vegas for taking care of us. Do not rent from here.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. The car this place rented us was unsafe and did not have current tags. This engine light was on to service engine and the tire light was on because there was 2 screws in the tires. The interior was filthy as well. The management is unprofessional and unhelpful. Will never use this place again

As a long time Avis/Budget renter for business travel, I was disappointed at the overall condition of the car we rented.The car had small dents and scratches on virtually every surface. It was not well cleaned outside, and the windshield was hazy from not being cleaned on the inside.The Upland, California "franchisee" should step up their game on cleaning their cars.

Made a reservation and confirmed with 2 different people for 10:00am. While I'm on my way to pick up the car they call me and say they have no cars and don't help what so ever!! DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! WAIST OF TIME AND DO NOT CARE TO HELP YOU!! 0 STARS

In this photo is a list of times posted that the location is open. The times listed aren't reflected anywhere on the website when booking nor are they listed online when googling or yelping the hours of operation. I booked a reservation for 4:30 with no problem, made it to the branch by 4:46 (due to traffic) and was welcomed to a locked door with the lights on inside but no visible employees around. I called the branches phone but it of course just rang...I also knocked a few times and still got nothing. I'm thoroughly annoyed and agitated BC WHY IS THE DOOR LOCKED AT 4:46p WHEN YALL CLOSE AT 5?!??? Where tf are the branches employees and why was I not able to get my car when the location should've been open until 5pm?! Tacky a** location.

We came to pick up the car we had reserved for over a month, and the lady working here Terry was 9n her personal cell phone for at least 3 minutes while I was waiting. Then got off and proceeded to wipe down the whole shop for 15 minutes before I could get any help, and that was only because I asked her "should I come back". She got defense and said why, when I proceeded to explain that I had people waiting in the hot sun/car outside (97 today) she told me it would take her 2 hours to finish cleaning before she could help me with my reservation even though we were scheduled. I walked out and my husband very calm and reasonably went in and said "Can we just get our car please" she literally went off and started yelling at him. She said she would transfer the reservation and locked the facility doors so no one could back in. Our car was never transferred. This place is literally ridiculous. If you want to have a decent trip, start off somewhere else....! THIS LOCATION IS A JOKE.
