I'm going to make a call to the corporation, this can't be happening. This gym in Montclair is an aberration. It stinks from the moment you enter the gym. I'm going to show the big bosses how run down and dirty they have this place. People Pay For Something Good, This Gym Does Not Represent The Name, Golds Gym.These Photos are from 2 different days, and I have many more that I am going to send to the Corporation and the bosses of the franchise.

This Golds Gym is disgusting, it's a shame. Where are the people who clean, where is that manager who apparently doesn't do his job, I'm going to speak to the corporation, I'm not going to be giving away my money to come here to get a disease.

MY BOOTYS BIGGER THAN MY EGO WAS LAST SUMMER IN A BIKINI!I’m back on My Weight-loss Journey! Gold’s Gym in Montclair is my gym of choice. Im giving it 4 stars because of its location (the parking lot has made appearances on the tv show Bait Car, there are also some minor personal petty reasons, that they’re only getting 4 stars).They even have a theatre that’s filled with cardio machines! I HATE CARDIO, but I end up spending additional time on treadmill without realizing it, because I get so engrossed watching whatever movie they have playing.I love the staff there!!! They deserve 5 stars, especially my personal trainer Skye!!! Last year she helped me lose 12” around my waist and gain muscle!!! I was STUNNING last summer! I even wore a bikini again!!! (Then I took terrifying turn in the fall…I gave in to the Devils temptation with all the holiday treats!Yes, I scream when I look in the mirror and step on the scale…) I’m excited and confident that’ll I’ll be prancing around in bikinis, sundresses, shorts and tank tops this summer! Most importantly I’ll be strong again and be able to show off my abs!If you’re serious about getting shape, than this is the place!!!!

I called the the wrong gym, Montclair. A professional gentleman answered the phone Gabriel Dueierrez. I love his manners & respect over the phone. Gabriel helped me find it fast!

This morning I waited for more than an hour with more than 50 people for the place to open, playing with people's time seems very impolite, I had to go home, I don't know what time it was scheduled to open.

Thought this Gilda was chill until I went to rancho golds. My for the rancho location makes you feel like a celebrity. This location you feel like a pleb. Men’s locker room is full of broken locker doors, one of the cycling bikes is constantly broken, and don’t even mention the men’s steam room. It’s been 1 month into the new year and the steam room has been broken for like 90 percent of the month. You can tell manager just doesn’t care about this location. I’m so close to changing locations I don’t even care about the drive.

Terrible experience. I signed up for 3 memberships about a year ago and one of them was supposed to be a free membership due to the promotion they had going on. I have only revived on month of free membership. Every month they overcharge my card with incorrect amount. I keep getting promised it will be resolved and it never does. I regret joining this gym. Customer service is terrible. Found out after I joined the sales manager lied to me. Do not join this gym.

This used to be a great gym and still is in some ways. But part of the downfall is a lot of the gym members etiquette. Leaving equipment and weights everywhere. But also management does a poor job of cleaning up the gym. I've come in at 5am to see paper towels everywhere and weights all over the floor and not racked. It's getting out of hand. Plus equipment takes months to be repaired when it breaks. It's usually the same machines breaking.

Unlike other locations, the people at the front table are very nice. They also look like they enjoy working there, which makes it easier to approach them.

STAY AWAY. As far as a gym goes, this place is fine. But the people running it? Scoundrels, thugs, liars, and thieves. From the ground up all the way to the top. They took advantage of my sweet wife who canceled her membership, but they continued charging her for the greater part of a year. After many requests for them to fix the issue, she begged me to handle it. I gave the manager a piece of my mind over the phone, and he said he'd call me back the next day. The good news is that they finally canceled it once I threatened to go to corporate, but the manager never called back, and they did not refund the $300 they stole from my dear wife. Shame on the management, shame on the whole team, and shame on corporate for terrible accountability. I hope this place goes under. You reap what you sow.

Golds gym used to have a good reputation but now it's getting worse. They charge money if you want to change your membership plan. I just found out that they have a 30 day notice period for cancellation of membership. I cancelled today but still they are going to charge me for 1 more month. They say it's their "policy" which they never mention verbally at the time you join. Switching back to PF, at least they have flexibility. The gym and machines are good but customer service and policies are not what I expected.
