The cabin/room was quaint it would be good for a single family with a couple kids. The front desk stated the sofa couch had a real thick mattress it does not it is a thin feel the bars through the mattress type and not comfortable for anyone except maybe children small enough to lay sideways. So if they do the sofa bed is comfortable and thick they are delusional or lying. The housekeeping was quick with a request for a blanket and it was clean I would give housekeeping a 4 at least but front desk needs to be around people more possibly...

Rooms were nice, and very clean. House keeping is quick and friendly. The outside lighting wasn't on at 9:30 pm walkways were dark. Then both room keys, that worked earlier, didn't work. Had to go through that hazzle in the

Wonderful quiet inn, surrounded by Redwoods Nice clean and quiet room, big tv, cute little microwave. No frills, but exactly what we were looking for.

We loved our pet friendly cabin room. This is a well located and appointed lodge.

I booked my room here because I wanted to be close to my childhood summer home. My grandparents owned. It has been about 15 years since my last visit. What an amazing place to stay at. The service was impressive, and my Cabin was out of this world. This is definitely on my bucket list to revisit next time I am staying along the Russian River. Just a few miles from Guerneville, it is quiet and very romantic if you have someone. With nature's air conditioning, I surprisingly got chilly at night... not to worry, the gas fireplace did the trick. I would say, ignore the bad reviews because no place is perfect, and if you are NOT a happy person, it doesn't matter where you are, you will NEVER be happy. Stay here to relax, slow down, and reconnect with that person you always knew you could be.

I stayed here in room 22. Let me tell you... It doesn't deserve the high rating it seems to have.1. Room keys were demagnetized even through careful placement throughout my stay2. Two different neighbors each night that kept my family awake, even though they state there are quiet hours3. Plumbing sucked! Each drain.. Every single drain backed up!4. The sofa couch was broken and sat lopsided5. The bedroom bed was so stiff! It felt like I was sleeping on a board with covers6. The chairs under the table are so high they don't have enough room to sit properly with your legs under the tableOverall, the stay was not worth the amount of money paid!!

My wife and I stayed at Casa Secoya for one night on our honeymoon as we traveled southbound on Highway 1 back down to LA. The staff at Casa Secoya had excellent communication with us leading up to the reservation and were very friendly over the phone. We had a late check-in and they walked us through it step by step. The bed was fine and the room/bathroom were clean, except for a couple spiders. For the price we paid for the room, $300+, we were pretty disappointed with the quality of the amenities and the room itself. The amenities seemed older and quite used. To my knowledge, there was no breakfast offered, however, the Irish (I think it was Irish?) café just down the road was delightful. Still for the price we paid, some type of breakfast would have been expected. We didn't use the pool. For some reason, we didn't feel the most safe here. It's hard for me to qualitatively tell you why that was. It could have been the second entrance to the room, the thin walls, the not great lightning in the parking lot, the amenities, or all of the above. Obviously, it's a motel, and a motel never going to feel the same as a hotel or an AirBnB, but this one made me and my wife feel uneasy, and again for $300+, that really disappointed me.It was objectively a decent place to stay for a night, but for $300+, the price seemed too high. If the price was ~$200, my review probably would have been more positive, but for $300+, the expectations are higher--and Casa Secoya didn't meet them.

A cute and secluded area with a pool. I really like how they decorated it to make it look more like a cute cottage motel. The room was very simple but clean. I slept well in the bed and the AC kept my room a great temp. They had wifi and modern amenities. The staff was really friendly and helpful with surrounding businesses.I left a pair of pants there and they shipped it back to me!I also love the nature walk around the area. Into the shady trees or at the gold course. It's so quiet. Exactly what we needed. There are a few locally owned restaurants. One does breakfast pastries in the morning. The other has a satifying dinner menu with friendly staff as well. It was like I was visiting family or something.I didn't get any pictures, I was too busy admiring the scenery and drive through the Redwoods.

Absolute worst hotel experience of my life. I locked myself out of my room at 7.10 pm. The attendant apparently leaves at 7 pm. The help number doesn't work. Zoe (she was actually serious) let me know that indeed the number works, but, no one picks up. LOL. No apologies whatsoever. Then, Zoe bangs on my door (I finally got a key to get into my room at 9.30 am) and enters my unit uninvited.....promptly lets me know that I have to be out immediately. It is around 11.30 am at this point (30 mins after check out time, please remember that I was locked out of my room all night). She then lets me know that she would call the police if I didn't leave immediately. I let her know that she should definitely do that and that I have plenty to speak with them about. Hospitality? She followed through - they couldn't believe it when I told them the story. This place is a joke.

Clean rooms and friendly staff, nice location. Rooms are very small, no coffee maker, ours did have a small microwave. Would give 4 stars except that we were slapped with a $90 fee a few days later with no communication. When I called about it I was told there were wine stains on two pillowcases. We were drinking wine so it's possible, but we definitely didn't have any kind of major spill that would leave a big stain. We checked the room thoroughly on the way out. I found it strange that there was no communication about the charge, and no pictures offered. So if you stay here, maybe take pictures of your room on the way out in case you need to contest a cleaning fee.Pool closes early, 7pm.

Cute little place, rooms were a bit bare. No coffee in rooms and with nothing opening up before 8 was a bit of a bummer. Beds were pretty lumpy, but we slept well and the rooms seemed well cleaned. The pool was a nice place to cool off and with a restaurant across the parking lot, dinner was convenient.

I feel bad giving this place a do not recommend - they had one of the nicest hotel staffs I've ever met, but the owners have done the laziest most insulting and superficial flip of a motel I've ever seen. Everything has a new coat of paint but the beds, pillows, etc. are cheap and uncomfortable. The common area lawn is definitely green but it's just barren and scattered with some cheap plastic lawn chairs. No fire, lights, or other inviting space out there so everyone just hides in their rooms or goes elsewhere. It marketed itself as good for families but i would def not bring kids here - we did it have kids but watching others it seems like nothing to do besides run in circles on the lawn. Owners could fix this with a $50k upgrade to their common area and they choose not to, so question what else they're not spending on in the back end. They are also short-staffed, i didn't ask staff but given everything else going on there i would conclude that's bc owners don't want to pay ppl fairly. The only use case for the hotel is if you're playing golf next door - it would be great for that. But this is priced like a good hotel when it's a cheap motel. you can find cheaper rustic cabin options in guerneville that are actually fun and family friendly or if you're on a romantic getaway, spend $50-$100 more a night and go to somewhere that justifies the spend.
