“This is a small US Post Office in Montebello that offers all the services made possible by the USPS. It is open Monday through Friday until 4:30 pm. They close right on the dot. You can drop off letters, packages, rent a postal box, buy greeting cards, gift cards, and obviously buy stamps. The front desk postal workers are always friendly and very helpful. But please be patient when you decide to come here. They usually have one cashier servicing customers.”
“I am mind blown at the kindness I received today at this Post office. Thank you so much lady for helping me reduce the size of my package to save a few dollars. I’m trying to save for a road trip with my family and have been unfortunate to all of the sudden need car repairs as well as a dental procedure due within weeks of my trip I’ve been trying to save for that I will now have little to bring on the trip since these pressing circumstances are very costly. “Great customer service there's a guy that worked here on August 8th 2025 2:PM he served me, when it was my turn in line he gave me GREAT CUSTOMER service, he deserves a promotion, & I also noticed while I was waiting in line he was actually teaching other customers a out how the shipping thing works since they seemed alil confused about media mail. But besides him being a Great Worker, every time I come here to ship my packages all the employee that work here are soo respectful caring and Amazing, i uselally like testing out other USPS around the area but cause of his Thier experience I'm stating loyal to this USPS even if I have to travel further just to get here. The staff was professional, friendly, and made the whole process really quick and easy. Prices were cheaper than many other areas that I called and no there was no hidden fees. Definitely recommend this spot if you need fingerprinting done efficiently and stress-free. Michelle was excellent at her service.”

“This post office has been a surprising source of calm for me since early this year. Some days I stop by just to drop off mail or packages, and other days I simply pass through, but every time, it’s consistent: clean, quiet, and efficient.
The attendant in the mornings always greets me with a smile, and I genuinely get the sense he remembers me (or maybe it’s my little dog Mimi he recognizes). Either way, the friendliness makes a difference. He even shared that Mondays are their busiest days, which explains why my morning visits always feel so easy and unrushed.
The building itself is beautiful, full of Old Pasadena charm. The high ceilings, intricate windows, and natural light make it one of those rare post offices where you don’t mind waiting. Even the mailboxes have a vintage look that adds to the character.
There’s also a window for prepaid USPS packages, which makes drop-offs simple and quick. I’ve never had a hassle here, and I always leave impressed with how fast the experience is.
If you appreciate efficiency and historic beauty, this is hands down one of the best post offices around.”
“I've always lived in this city and I go here most of the time. Bryan and Tracy usually help me. They are always cheery, helpful and very knowledgeable about how to send mail/packages. Last Saturday had a 5 minute wait. Not bad for a weekend. Excellent customer service.”
“I have been to 4 post office locations in the city of Pasadena CA. This one by far has the most friendliest and helpful staff out of all the locations I have been to! Seriously, I have received attitude and even hostility at 2 of the 3 other post office locations that I have done business at. “The standard experience of a USPS Post Office visit ranges from tolerable to downright awful (my worst experiences being in NYC), but I have never had a better experience than the Lincoln location. There’s something about the culture of this office that the staff are courteous, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, truly give a damn and go out of their way to help. There was an older gentleman (who retired in December) who was wonderful and his replacement is just as good. If only all USPS offices were this good. Thank you guys, you give us hope!”

“Never have I ever felt compelled to write a review for a post office, good or bad. But today I went to this post office and the employee there (Carlos) was just so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, I felt compelled to write a review and to say “Go, Carlos!””
“Everyone here has been friendly and superbly helpful(and I have worked with everyone that's been here over the past decade).
Many of the bad reviews are for general frustrations with post office speed and delivery in general.
Solutions?
1. Remove people with conflicts of interest (ie DeJoy and Wos who may claim up to a total $75,815,000 in assets from U.S. Postal Service competitors, according to government records) from positions of power and/or force them do divest from companies that benefit from USPS's shortcomings.
2. Invest in your infrastructure and workers. Make sure there are enough mail carriers; ensure they are paid fair wages that raise with inflation; and prevent deteriorating labor standards which will inevitably get in the way of effective and efficient mail delivery. (The former removes many disincentives for this.)”

“Good service. Kris helped us out as walk-ins for passports (we got lucky the office was not busy). He was courteous, walked us through the process and took our picture. We were done in a few minutes.
This office was clean and looked cared after. It was worth driving a few minutes out from Downey. If you need to do a passport walk in or schedule soon, go to this office they do walk-ins M-F, Downey does them only Thursdays. When I looked at the website this office had opened appointments with in 3 business days but Downey office was like 2 weeks out.”
“Parking is AWFUL! However, the customer service team is always helpful and friendly which I have never experienced in any other post office. Like the one in Verdugo Road where the attendants are incredibly rude.”

“On my way to my evening class, I stopped by this USPS around 4:30 PM to send a package for the first time. I was second in line—nothing too busy. Since I’d never mailed a package before, I wasn’t sure what to do, but Mr. Chheng was incredibly kind and walked me through each step. He even lent me a pen, taped up my tag, and took the time to double-check my addresses—catching a mistake I hadn’t noticed and kindly fixing it. He seemed genuinely happy to help, which made the experience that much better. I’m really grateful for such a pleasant and helpful interaction!”
“I am a huge advocate for the USPS, especially now since younger people don't understand the difference between the USPS and UPS. The people who work here are nice and know me as a regular. And they usually have the newest books of stamps on offer so I always get mine there.”

The city of South Pasadena finished their last phase in landscaping the remaining grassy area in the south side by the public parking lot.
Fun Fact:
They built a 100% California native, drought tolerant demonstration garden. Selected plants that are naturally suited to the hot and sunny weather while also supporting pollination and providing food and shelter for wildlife.
Plantings will have color at different times of year, and include Cleveland Sage, St. Catherine’s Lace Buckwheat, Toyon, a ‘Desert Museum’ Palo Verde tree, among other plants.”

“Went in for passports for me and my kids. Right away they asked if I had an appointment and I said yes. Told me to stand aside and not wait in line. Then we got greeted by the best, Jeff. He was friendly and we got the best customer service ever. I was hesitant to come here because of the bad reviews but trust me it was not bad at all. The process was smooth and he was so kind to me and my kids. Definitely recommend!”
