Blah blah and more blah. Boring predictable clothing you find everywhere. And employees who mean well and seem sweet but don't know the merchandise. Not returning.

Welcome to the powerhouse of Wendy Foster boutiques. She has multiple boutiques in Santa Barbara/Montecito, as well as one in the valley. They are beautiful curated. Each store has a little different focus. The one that I am reviewing happens to be the more Shi Shi of them with a higher price point and some eclectic flair. All beautiful quality. Fairly easy parking. You can go next-door to the Pierre LaFond deli and enjoy a little refreshment in between your shopping. It's worth visiting all of her three stores in this little mall. Plus the los olivos one which has some different items more geared for the "ranch" look. Aspen here I come! Yes you will spot the occasional celebrity, but just pretend you don't recognize them.Upon reading the review, just a few weeks earlier, with the challenge of a return, it makes me a little concerned but hope they will have an update. The staff seemed very attentive.

I purchased a sweater that was on sale (still 179.00) and didn't go into the dressing room because I put it on over a shirt I was wearing since I'd ridden my ebike there. When I tried it on at home with no undershirt, there was a very visible hole in the weave in the front center of the neckline. I left the tags on and requested a STORE CREDIT (had my receipt and it was just a couple of weeks-less than the 30 day policy). I made a trip into the store and the manager, Nicki, wasn't there so the person working that day took pix of my receipt, the hole, and my request for a credit. The manager did call me back and refused to give me a store credit. When I asked if they would pay to have it repaired through a reweaver, she refused. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT INTO THIS STORE AGAIN!!! I've lived in SB since 1989. For such high prices, you sure set the bar low for taking care of your customers. So disappointed!!!!!!!! Shameful.

Wendy has a beautiful style and the nicest employees who work there. It’s one of my favorite places to visit while in Santa Barbara

This store. How I love this store, I don’t live in SB anymore but whenever I visit I stop in and see what beautiful wares they have. A treat for sure

I was visiting my grandchildren in Montecito for the weekend last month and brought them to this store, looking to spoil them with some gifts. I had heard lovely things about it, so naturally my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I was met with a hostile attitude from the salesgirls and was not helped in the slightest. They were inattentive and on their phones, and I felt very uncomfortable. My grandchildren and I were extremely disappointed with the lack of service and we left empty handed.

Disappointed. One star only. A very young (and misguided) sales clerk wouldn't allow me to return or exchange a Christmas gift. She had a distorted view of their policy saying that the person who bought the gift on November12 had 30 days to exchange it. So that would've been by December 12. I told her that was literally impossible since I - the gift recipient - didn't receive the gift until December 25. Impossible! She couldn't understand how ignorant she sounded. I won't be shopping there.

Writing this review as someone who has never written a negative review, but felt compelled because of my experience. Here's the story: Went into Wendy Foster in Montecito to do some shopping for myself and for my friends baby shower. Proceeded to spend $1,000+ dollars that day and went about my business. A couple of weeks later I realized I still hadn't worn one of the shirts I bought -- 2 (ish) more weeks passed before I made it back to make the return. To be exact, 34 days had gone by and I was 4 days past the 30 day return policy. I was informed by the girl working in the shop that my time had passed and accepted it at that point since she couldn't do anything for me, knowing I would speak to a manager in the near future and hopefully they would make things right. After speaking with a manager in the following days I was informed that I was still out of luck because the time frame to return had passed, which is why I am here writing this review. It's really sad that a local business could not make an exception for a local client in this scenario. I wasn't asking for my money back, I was just hoping for store credit, or a percentage of my purchase price back in store credit as a one time courtesy. To me, having been in customer service, these are the types of courtesy's you extend to people that make a lasting impression. Unfortunately that is not the case, fortunately there are other local shops in town to explore.

This review is for the Wendy Foster shop in Los Olivos, CA as it did not turn up in the Yelp search. First time I've been to this location and wanted to stop here as I've been to their other locations in the past...and well, I had to buy myself a bday gift. It's a large store with a big selection. In a Beautiful neighborhood as well. Some really nice things you don't see anywhere else. It's a pricey boutique but when you want something special this is a great place to check out. Beautiful fabrics and styles. The sales lady was very helpful and nice too. Their Labor Day sale was on and picked up a $240. White and Warren cashmere sweater for $70! Probably the only thing I wouldn't purchase here would be the $90ish tee shirts. Personally, I can't tell them apart from any other tee so don't see the point in spending money on those. They're nice but not for $90. sorry to say.
