Customer service has much room for improvement. Unprofessional staff conversations while patients are in the waiting areas. When dispensing glasses, opticians dispense glasses without sitting down with patients and ensuring proper fit before Leaving. There is a tone of condescending from a senior member of the team to which his automatic response is"Take the glasses home for 2 weeks". Without getting up off his chair. If he had gotten up he would have looked at my prescription to see it's a progressive lens. Which requires a fit. But I digress. He's a professional, I took his advice and took the glasses home for 2 weeks. Needless to say, I was back, wanting my glasses to be switched to a single vision. The optician now had the time to fit me properly, and I was sent home again unfortunately, for whatever reason my eyes do not like these lenses. I do have progressives from another provider. I wear it daily. It's not that I can't get used to wearing progressives. I returned, for a third time again, requesting to switch my lenses out to single vision. I can now NOT get the difference back on what I paid, I was now advised to pick another pair because of the prescription number thickness and when I requested a refund, I was told I am over 5 days. I'm very disappointed in America's Best Monterey Park. I used to refer friends without insurance to this location but I can no longer do that in good consciousness. If you can, go to Costco. They take outside prescriptions. The quality of the frames is better. Lens quality is a much better quality. And they know how to treat their customers.

I'm disappointed with my recent experience with Ray, the front desk rep. I called ahead to ask if I could pick up my eyeglass prescription, and Ray said no problem. But when I got there, he told me my prescription was expired, which didn't make sense because I just got new glasses late last year with a fresh prescription. My last eye exam was pretty recent, so I went back to my car to check my emails. Sure enough, I found proof that I had both eyeglass and contact lens exams on November 30th. But when Ray checked the computer, he said only the contact lens exam was done. I told him again that I had both exams, especially since my $99 promotion with Americas Best included unlimited exams for both eyeglasses and contacts. For some reason, he brought up a price increase for contact lens exams, but that wasn't what I was asking about. I went back to the car and contemplated on what's going on. I realized I had to go back inside another time and clear up the confusion that I remember I had a recent prescription. Ray seemed really stuck on what the computer was showing and cut me off a couple of times while I tried to explain. He eventually looked at my physical file and found out that the old manager hadn't documented and billed my eyeglass exam (which was free per the promotion). I get that mistakes happen, but it would've been nice if Ray had just said sorry for the mix-up. I understand things can go wrong, but Ray could've handled it better by listening without interrupting. It would've cleared up the confusion much quicker. A little patience and attention to the customer would've made a big difference.

I had a bad experience with the lenses, I changed them for others because the first ones that were measured were too big, It took me 3 weeks to give them to me, my warranty is one year, now it has 10 months left, when I went to pick up the lenses again, they give them a different color, who am I angry with, waste of time, this company is going from bad to worse.

My older brother refer me to Americas Best contact and eye glass so I came to the Monterey Park location and I requested a contact lens prescription so I schedule an appointment. So Life happens and I call to reschedule my appointment. I spoke to Ray and I told him I was an a in jiffy and I told them my situation i was in and he didn't seem to care so I happen to call for a different reason and a young lady told they did have a late appointment and have I could have a contact prescription the same day, but Ray told told me there was no late appointments available whatsoever. Somehow I called later on and the young lady happens to have a late appointment available for me which wasn't before whatsoever, I took the late appointment came in was greeted, and I was just looking for contacts, but I happened to fell in love with a pair of glasses, so I was OK. Definitely grabbing this pair and a pair contacts. I have my exam done by young a lady. I happened to not get her name but she was very informative and my exam was going well. Then I'm greeted by the doctor and he continue to gets my prescription and we are both happy with the RX so he gives me my trial contacts on and I tell him I can't see so he's like just give me a letter and I'm like I can't see so once again he asked me to give him a letter so I just pick a random letter bc he looks up at the clock and the exam ends with a follow up exam we agreed and schedule and appointment then he tells me to wait in the waiting room then another young lady come and gets me and tells me my pricing ..I pick a pair of glasses that I fell in love with and the pricing is FAIR so pricing matches there costumer service.

The female receptionist, who sat at the back, was fat and had a very bad attitude. She had poor professional skills, ruined my eyes, and lied! I bought contact lenses for the first time. She actually asked me to use a cleaner to wash the contact lenses and directly put on my eyes. My eyes became very painful and red. Then she acted very cold and said that I was not gentle enough. The cleaning agent written on the bottle cannot be used directly on the eyes, and must be rinsed with a care solution!

This is not my first time purchasing glasses from them, usually I'm happy with my glass. But this time I'm not. I paid about $100 more to thin out my lens so that they can fit properly. This looks like a legit magnifying glass, and it doesn't look thin at all. I'd appreciate if customer service would contact me in order to fix this issue because if my lens is going to stay like this, then I rather be refunded what I paid thin out my lens. I've paid less than the amount in the past and they were not as thick as this time.

I’m a returning customer so today caught me off gaurd not sure if the doctor was in a bad mood or in a hurry be he was rude and raising his voice to me and made a rude comment to this is NOT ok Americas Best! ESPECIALLY to paying customers smh!

Americas best don't think so, had my eyes check and bought glasses. Needed to have them adjusted twice due to the arms coming loose. One month and a half later went back because the plastic part a on tip were loose. Just to be told that there was nothing they could or would do after 30 days they are not covered. Save your money and frustration and go elsewere.

I arrived there and a woman was going to help me out as I was clearly speaking to her then a guy next to her took over immediately while she was talking to me (unprofessional) if I person is already being helped out by someone don't take over it comes off as rude, but whatever I was then helped by the guy who I Told specifically I was going to get glasses and was interested in contacts but wanted to know about them first. I take what I thought was the glasses exam but no because the guy fucked up and put I Wanted both glasses and contacts I couldn't even walk out with both my pairs of glasses and I HAD to pay for the contact lenses exam so I had to pay almost double of what I would've spent when I told the sales person that my GLASSES WERE MY PRIORITY NOT THE LENSES. I had to walk out with one pair only and I didn't even get the special and I was never told I was having the contact lenses exam no communication what so ever until I had to pay Zoe was a Saint I would've had to pay triple if it wasn't for her the little boy who was helping me gave me a sheet of paper once I filled it he told me to go sit down, so I didn't even know I was getting the exam from the begging and the eye exams are extremely similar if not the same so I couldn't tell the difference. Zoe is the only reason I'm giving this two stars I am pissed it would've been a 1 if not for her.

I just got my eye glasses done at here and I am not going here ever again for their service. I got my eye exam done here and optometrist specifically told me if I add progressive on my glasses it would make my eye sights little blurry so I told them to not to included. After I got my glasses I wore them and I had blur vision seeing things that is close to me. Today I went to this location to get the adjustment done, I explained to them I'm seeing blur vision for close sight and they tell me that is because I don't have the progressive on my glasses! Wth? I didn't include it because optometrist told me I would have blur vision if I included! I'm not going back!
