Image Beauty sells Japanese and Korean beauty products, mainly cosmetics, personal care, fragrance, and kawaii goods. It’s a big store so they have a wide selection of different products. I can’t really speak on beauty products, but they have lots of products from Japan featuring Sanrio, Disney, and other popular characters imported from Japan. They usually have items that are not for sale or not yet for sale in America from competitors. They also have specialty items exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland and Sanrio Puroland. Their prices can also be lower than their competitors as well.

I have to agree with the other reviews and such, this place makes me uncomfortable to go into. I just wanted a bear plushie. I am a dark skinned latina and I was with my family looking at the toys and I had bought a honestly kind of expensive bear because I don't really see them sell this bear anywhere else. But I noticed the whole time while I was looking at the toys. There was a employee following us around, she didn't even back away when I looked at her. The thing is that I wasn't even wearing like anything that I could possibly steal with it just didn't make a lot of sense on the employee part to follow us. The only thing that did make sense and validate my concerns is that the fact that this happen to other latino people in the comment section as far as I read. It is disappointing to find such a cute store with cute items and be followed and stalked by the employee's. I don't know how they would change this behavior however other than getting new employees.

SCAMMERS. I ordered online exactly one month ago never got any updates on my package, so I emailed but never got a response so I called and they said they would order it from Japan and send it but more weeks go by and no updates. I called again and they said they refunded me but I never got one, that they were going to email me a screenshot of it but I have still yet to receive that email. I have been patient and understanding but at this point they’re just scamming me of my money.

There’s a lot of variety in items, but the staff here is a bit hostile. I’ve come here a couple times with my white passing family (we’re Mexican, I’m on the brown side) and didn’t have many issues. On the other hand, I came here with my boyfriend today, both of us on the darker side, and were constantly being followed and watched by the employees at the store. At first I hadn’t noticed, as i was looking at prices, but it got so bad that my boyfriend pointed out that they kept staring at him and was uncomfortable. After that, I began to notice it as well. We left soon after. In addition to the racist staff, a lot of the items here are incredibly expensive. I suggest going elsewhere.

I stopped by to see if the review were true yup. right when I walked in I was being followed it was funny I did end up leaving after five minutes b/c of the uncomfortable atmosphere

I stopped by this place since this place carries a variety of Asian beauty brands, which makes it a unique spot. BUT, I really can’t give this place more than 1 star.The main reason is this place has pretty bad customer service, which makes you don’t feel welcomed to be in the store for any second longer. Since this place has a good amount of brand varieties and the store is pretty big, poor organizations of displays makes it quite hard to find the skin care I am looking for. Thus, I had to bother the store employee to help me out, thought they may know their products locations better… As I said “excuse me…” while the employee passing right in front of me, she ignored me until the 3rd time I called her. Then when she turned around, she showed very UNFRIENDLY expression (face that doesn’t wanna be bothered). I asked if they have the product I’m lookin for, she just answered VERY IMPATIENTLY! Give me a vibe of she’s so close to roll her eyes, LOL I seriously ain’t no joke about it.Totally understand nowadays, business is barely able to keep up. But if you really want to make your business to success among the competitive market, in addition to the competitive pricing in the market, customer service is the key.I really hope the business owner/manager is able to aware and provide employees better trainings on better customer service attitude.

Felt so uncomfortable here. I wasn't being followed but there was a lady with two children browsing around. I was near them. An employee literally followed them throughout the store, standing a few steps away, STARING at them the entire time. They move, she moves. Occasionally she would lift her head to see what they were looking at. Y'all sell skincare and plushies here. Chill.

Firstly this place doesn't use AC. Maybe it's set to 87 degrees or something. There are few lights on so it's also pretty dark. Trying to cut costs obviously. I've come here several times to buy masks. This time I found a mask that I buy exclusively online since it's so hard to find in stores. It was even slightly more expensive than Amazon but I was willing to pay for it. The staff asked if I was a member and could get 5% off with a $5 one time membership purchase. I said no as I don't come here to buy masks too often. However immediately after I purchased, I realized the math would've worked out and I would've gotten my $5 back with a membership, and even save a buck. The receipt said returns accepted within 7 days. Nice! I asked to repurchase with the membership and the same staff person gestured no. But the receipt even says I can return the item. The staff said only if the product causes a skin reaction, I can then refund.That's pretty ridiculous. Also you literally just rang in my order. If you knew I was going to get back my full $5, why not tell me? Girl, that's not good customer service. Later on I realized I may even have already been a member as I had patroned this place to buy buy masks for myself and family. But no more...

Horrible experience. I’ve always passed by this store and never gone in but finally today I decided to check it out because I saw they had makeup I wanted to try out. I shouldn’t have bothered at all, the minute I entered I was already being stared at by the employees, I would move to one aisle and when I turned one of the employees was behind me following me. When I took a call from my mom I was speaking Spanish and the employee persisted on following me even more. I left so disappointed. Definitely need to give your employees a reality check on not being so judgemental towards customers.

I was a little hesitant to come in prior to the reviews I read on yelp but I didn't have a bad experience here at all. They have many cute Sanrio items here. I was surprised to see that they have ichiban kuji here!! I bought a ticket for the PomPomPurin one and I got a cute plate. It was really fun to try for the first time :) $15 each

I've been coming here for years, love the selection of Japanese beauty products and I always come here to restock on eyeliner and skincare masks. However, I always leave quickly than I would like because I always feel like I'm being followed around by the employees. This has always been the issue every time I come here to shop without fail. I came in here with my sister today because she wanted to browse for facemasks but she felt so uncomfortable by the two employees following us every corner we browsed that she wanted to leave. I will come again of course, but @ image if you want your customers to stay for a longer time to shop I suggest not following them around every corner. Thanks :)

Wow! Was going to leave a review but I guess I wasn’t crazy! This place is horrible! Definitely racist! Been here twice and I am always followed ! There were other customers in the store that were Asian and they were definitely not being followed! I even asked did I steal and they still follow you even when you mention it! I hope this place closes down. Both times I did not purchase anything! Will not support a business like this.

I’ve been here maybe a handful of times with the gf to view their make up selection, but every single visit we were followed around by employees. Who knows if its a race issue, security issue, or what. We left frustrated and upset that our experience was tainted by the constant eye we had on us. Unfortunately, can’t give less than one star. Please do better. Probably won’t be going anytime soon or until ratings have changed.
